He will be dealing 125 damage x 4 = 500 damage(the 12,25 damage on the last attack will be applied a bit later, but it would only decrease the damage by 12,5 if you want to stay within that 4,8 window) through the course of 4,8 seconds when the e is on CD, so that is pretty significant compared to the 355 damage you would have on your E if you chose magus. What does [[Nunu]] realistically do in a teamfight? Auto-attack enemies to death? Pretty sure he doesn't. Last I checked he wasn't [[Udyr]]. 80 AP and 20% CDR is gonna be more beneficial in terms of what he actually does. Health and Tenacity is going to make him tanky, which is also better.[/quote] [spoiler=Response#1]It's the clear time and the raw damage on monsters that I'm after, even though magus gives him more damage in terms of damaging champions, which is a great deal of course, it doesn't do as much raw damage against monsters as with devourer (like shown above). It would be kind of funny if nunu could autoattack in teamfights, but it's not realistic (and I didn't intend to show the damage of devourer against a tanky champion with nunu :P), but last time I checked my comment, I never said "auto attacking champions". This post that Hatted post is about nunu against objectives with devourer and his full core build (items like Sunfire cape, Wit's end e.t.c), which is huge in games. The math is never irrelevant, only the way you use it and what you are calculating can differentiate. Period.[/quote] [spoiler=Response#2]True, I argue with that too, which is why I would wanna try a different calculation where the nunu put more points into W, which would deal even more damage in terms of autoattacking monsters than the magus buffed Q with 5 points. The devourer in terms of damage against monsters is pretty huge and it deals more damage than the E and Q. But right now, the thread is really just going to end pretty soon and that's why I think there's not really any point with making a scenario with the Devourer damage on autoattacks combined with that nunu's respective skill order then comparing that with the Magus damage on E and Q plus the autoattacks with W to see if Devourer would win in terms of damaging monsters or if Magus does it better (but considering that these abilities have cooldowns, I do believe Devourer deals more damage if it gets enough time (particularly against dragon/Baron or the Red/Blue buff that have big amounts of hp)[/spoiler][/quote]
