I wanted to ask you about your thought about the "future" of Irelia. All jokes aside, there are many rumors that she'll get heavily nerfed in patch 5.16 or the later ones. What are your thoughts about that? The reason why I'm asking is that I seriously consider buying her (I still haven't bought Irelia), but I wouldn't want to end up with a champ that gets heavily nerfed just when I start learning and playing him/ her.

It's hard to say with any certainty what Riot will end up doing. However, there's no sign in the PBE of nerfs to yet- so you will probably be OK through at least 5.16.

I would be surprised if they made any significant changes to her any time soon. Ever since the nerf to her E earlier this season she hasn't seen as much top lane pro play, and is really only seen as a counter-pick in mid and on a few really good players. They might nerf her a small amount again, but I'd be surprised if they did more than that.

At some point, they'll probably get around to reworking her- but that could be a long time, as she isn't on the rework queue list at all. Even so, Riot's pretty unpredictable, so it's hard to say :P

Awesome guide, always rly liked irelia but never really realised what her strengths really were until you explained them here. I already had a good base on how to play her because I used to play her a lot back in season 3, so the first game I tried this way of playing her i got a penta lol. unfortunatly we lost because we got out-comped and I wasn't rly able to help the other lanes as much as i wanted too because the enemy jungler kept wanting to shove top with mundo when i wasn't there. w/e still a good game.
