That's the kind of thing I'm talking about. If I get banned, he better get banned too.

I think the key difference here is the delivery of opinions... You're actually taunting him to get into a debate, where as he's just stating he recommends AMD. That's the key difference here. It's the quality and maturity of discussion that sets you two apart. There's no need for aggression in your passionate AMD disliking.

Anyway, I did what was told and took a look at all the things in an ARAM game. Tell me if these figures look really stupid, I have no clue what they're meant to look like, and I just took notes, playing League in windowed mode, at various stages in the game. Also, I only used the MSI AfterBurner thing to look at these figures, since it offered all of them so I figured why not.

In Queue (my client lags as well): 12% GPU, 35% RAM, 50% CPU
Loading: 1% GPU, 10-60% RAM (it really did vary that much), 60% CPU
Very start of the game: 0% GPU, 5-15% RAM, 60% CPU
Laning (all ten players were in lane): 25-30% GPU, 10-40% 64% CPU
Teamfights: 35% GPU, 60-70% RAM, 64% CPU

Now, there was one part where everyone started fighting and the game just started freaking out for about a minute. I didn't get to take a look at what the figures were at this point because everything was running very slowly, but I took a look after the game to look at the maximums and minimums, and I think I might have a possibility.

So, maximums during that game...

GPU Max: 58%
CPU Max: 98-99% for all CPUs
CPU Temp Max: 98oC
Ram Usage Max: About 2.8GB

Could cooling be an issue here?

I'm satisfied that the one charge left in the ban hammer tonight was enough to convince you two into a civil discussion.

Secondly, this is going to stay open as long as you continue to have them.

CPU temp could be an issue if it causes your CPU to automatically clock back. It certainly isn't a GPU/RAM issue, so I'd check that. 98 degrees while playing LoL is absolutely insane because it shouldn't stress an i5 2500 (I have the exact same CPU, just the K version) that much. Can you run a custom game and try and see if the clock speeds remain unchanged? You should be able to use Task Manager to check that.

EDIT: Also can you screenshot the temperatures over time?

EDIT2: Even if the temperature wouldn't be a cause of issue, running at 98 degrees under light gaming load is a pretty serious problem for the lifespan of your CPU. I'd definitely recommend opening your case, cleaning away some of the dust (I'm assuming dust buildup is one of the reasons for these temperatures) and either install an extra fan, or replace the CPU cooler.

Here's the temperature overtime. This wasn't even in a League game... Sooo...

I'll get into a custom in just a bit.

I'd not recommend doing that.

Just turn off your pc, let it stand for ~30 minutes, remove all the dust from your case and see if it makes any improvement. 98 degrees in idle means something IS wrong. My i5 2500k runs at 40 degrees (even after a 30% overclock). You can use a vacuum cleaner as long as you don't touch any of the sensitive components.

Oh... Well... I did it anyway, because I have no regard for the safety of inanimate objects.

Here's the custom game images. I just played out a lane phase with bots, 5 bots if it really matters.

Anyway, I'll do what you recommend. I'll be switching to an iPad.

weird your task manager doesn't show clock speeds like mine does QQ does MSI afterburner show it by any chance?

The fan next to the processor was just completely clogged, so that explains the heat. Everything else was actually fairly clean, with minimal dust.
