Well, I lied, sort of. I wouldn't say full tank Rengar is any good, I've tried it but it's absolutely terrible. However, since E-bola got nerfed I've been trying alternative builds and I've found one that is insanely successful. I climbed to Diamond I using this build with around a 70+ percent win rate (my profile says 68% but that includes my games pre-nerfs)

Runes: greater mark of armor penetration, Greater Seal of Armor, Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist, Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage

Masteries: 12/0/18
Ferocity Tree: Sorcery, Feast , Vampirism , Oppressor
Resolve Tree: Unyielding , Tough Skin , Runic Armor , Insight , Swiftness , Grasp of the Undying

Skill order: Max Savagery then Battle Roar

General build: Dead Man's Plate is pretty much the only item I get nearly 100%. Ravenous Hydra as first item if I'm able to 1v1 the enemy laner, Black Cleaver if I'm able to snowball. I also highly recommend Boots of Swiftness, obviously. Other items can be any of the following:

I haven't used Frozen Mallet but it could also work. I dislike Titanic Hydra's active (it de-stealths you as soon as you activate it) so I stopped using it but others might be more comfortable with it.

It's crazy good. You play kind of like a more mobile Renekton throughout the game, using sustain and short trades to whittle your opponent out of lane and later on you can initiate from stealth and tank a ton of damage. With a couple of damage items you are still dangerous if ignored since you can still 1v1 the enemy carry most of the time so the enemy support/whatever has to use resources to peel you but you're probably tanky enough to survive. I end most games with either most or second most damage taken in the team.

some of my scores in ranked

I haven't tried jungling yet but it seems like some pros have tried tankgar out: http://www.probuilds.net/champions/details/Rengar

You can't even win against BBG as Caitlyn, let alone trying out a harder champ like Rengar ಠ╭╮ಠ

That was one of the more fierce burns I've seen on this site.

Rengar is easy though as long as you can count to 5.

Basically MOBAFire.
