Riven will always be a powerpick if you play her with expertise. If you're just a "goldie" she might not be as efficient since she do require alot of skill to master and utilize every auto-reset etc. Otherwise she ain't doing that well against tanks IMO, but you can always try to get better with her in normals and then eventually be able to carry against any champ in ranked. Pretty hard tho :pBut now when I think of the item build, she could have a bunch of HP and ARMPEN items so she could do well vs tanks actually. Pretty easy to snowball with her too.

Its not even just tanks Riven has problems with. Flavor champs like Ekko, Maokai, Kindred make it difficult for her to really one-shot or target anyone due to the amount of chain CC or invulnerability.
There are a lot more champions that cause Riven some problem, which is why a solo queue champ like Zed or Fizz have a better chance to carry without being perturbed by the amount of CC being thrown at them.
Just because she isn't in meta right now doesn't mean you can't win a game with her though! Mechanics are still a thing xP

Is it only me or is Riven a bad pick currently? The current tank meta seems to really hurt Riven a lot. I'm not a Riven main or good at Riven by any means but it feels like Riven is performing really bad vs the current meta top laners... I just tried to increase my champ pool for solo queue ranked with Riven but I am really struggling with her. Are there still one trick ponys successfully playing Riven at the moment?
