Thank you! I was sure to experiment a lot this preseason :) There's a lot of good rune setups depending on team comps!

Hey there! I'm a Taliyah main and it's a great guidet that you have there! I wonder tho, in the abilities section when it comes to her Seismic Shove you wrote ( This means you will want to cast your Unraveled Earth before your Seismic Shove and not the other way around.) But that is not entirely true! You can use your seismic shove before and in the same instant use your unraveled earth and you still will break bones on the rocks and your ennemy wont see this burst damage coming at all hehe!

Yes that's true, that section of the guide was actually from before they removed the lockout on her W so Riot enabled that combo! When I have time I'll make another pass through the guide and fix it. Thanks for reading and good luck on your adventures maining Taliyah!

I´ve been spaming Taliyah in my acc for a couple days and after read this guide I feel so sure about her and how to release her potential. But even when I´ve been playing her a lot these last days I feel like she isn´t a good pick for ranked (dont miss understand me, she´s in my S tier) but sometimes I feel like the follow up for your team is so important with this champion and in SoloQ found a team that follow your calls is a bit hard. And another question, don´t you think that vs champions with hard gap closer (kassadin, Irelia...) Stormraider's Surge is better than Thunderlord's Decree ? just to ensure an escape. Congratzz for this amazing guide!

Glad you enjoyed the guide :) Taliyah definitely has a lot of potential in competitive 5s when you have team communication for follow up and setup, as it unlocks so many more uses of your Weaver's Wall. Don't let that discourage you from playing her in solo queue though, just be careful of tricky counterpicks!

Hey there! Pretty nice guide but may I ask when would I ever find the need to build a hextech GLP? I'm really interested in learning this champion so your advice would be great. :) And do you think rushing zhonyas/banshee veil (depending on matchup) than moving on to liandry torment rather than rushing morels is better? I preferred rushing zhonya/banshees in my opinion. Would u give me your opinion on it? I have found problems on taliyah in teamfights which is that she could only attack the frontline mostly. Any recommendations on how to deal more damage rather than force to being attacking the tanky frontline?

I actually really like building GLP on Taliyah recently- it's good into matchups like Ahri because of the HP and it's generally good for the utility it provides which can make your roams even deadlier. Starting Banshee's is probably better than Zhonya's but both are viable options if you really need them, but have the tradeoff of you running out of mana early game quickly, and will also do you no favors against front line tanks which you mentioned.

As for teamfights, I usually find them being most successful when I can start or follow up on an initiation with Weaver's Wall to separate their team and focus down one of their members with my team without retaliation from either their front or back line. From there, you should be looking to tactically time your WE combo and spam your Q combo whenever it is available. Remember, your Threaded Volley now does more damage for the first rock that hits the enemy, so it is better to try and spread out and hit multiple targets where possible rather than only hitting one person.

Hope this helps, and glad you liked the guide!

Very good guide!
It seems you like this champion. :-)
I'm trying Taliyah second day and have 1 noobie question:
Do you use quick cast on main abilities (Q, W, E)?
1
ShadowVisions (3) | January 31, 2017 3:10pm
Hey! So glad you liked my guide!
Smart/Quickcast is entirely up to the player. I personally quickcast every ability in the game apart from Taliyah's W, which I keep off quick cast due to it feeling much more like the W before they changed the mechanic of it shortly after her release. It's just what I'm more practiced and comfortable with, but it's up to personal preference.

Thanks for reading!

I really liked the build, but don't you think there are sometimes you really need to be a bit more tanky?
I, for example, like to build a Rod of Ages too, I get some life, some extra mana and ap, as well as a nice unique passive, what do you think about it?
1
ShadowVisions (3) | January 31, 2017 3:07pm
I think Rod of Ages delays your power spike by quite a lot. Taliyah is already not the best late game champion and it's important she reaches her item spikes at a time in the game when she is strong and can pull off impactful roams on the map. An alternative would be the Hextech GLP, which has been built in pro play and gives some extra tankiness, AP and a slow, which could be exactly what you're looking for.

Thanks for reading my guide!

awesome guide S7 is my first season ever and i just loved her vibe and kit as an earth bender but i have a few questions
does her E effect jumps? (ex. Kha'zix Rengar)
does her E effect flash
and what other Champs would you recommend a new player invest in who likes and is good with Taliyah?

ShadowVisions (3) | December 10, 2016 2:54pm
Hey! Glad you liked the guide.
To answer your question, Taliyah's E (Unraveled Earth) affects jumps such as Kha'Zix's, but not blinks such as blink or Ezreal E.
If I had to recommend champs, I mained Ahri my entire career (S3-present) and find she has a similar yet more forgiving kiting style. Also mages like Lux and Orianna that bring both CC and damage are good fits.
