It's random as hell once you start fresh, but once you have 4 or 5 wins in a row the system tries to sync you in with the most capable players whether its with fellow smurfs or not. Geez recently I remember this Katarina smurf that ripped my whole team to shreds I was adc caityln 5-7-6 & my support was Bard who went-2-19-6, yet Fizz was 1-12-3. @ end game this Katarina was 52-10-?

Well if you're struggling to win with Janna Lulu or Sona you can always play a tanky supp instead, :p
It won't help your warding but your teamfighting might improve

Basically MOBAFire.

Popping into the discussion to give tips I realised just recently.

Here are tips against Leona and Tahm kench, two match ups I found very interesting when I was playing Nautilus.

Tahm kench : Devour. If he uses it to protect his adc, he looses an important portion of his damages and CC PLUS it turns the fight temporarly.
For instance, if you are leona and land an E on the adc, wait for the tahm kench to eat the adc then Q tahm kench.

For leona you have to remember that she doesn't deal that much without her passive. QEW is 140 damage. Nautilus' QE (two waves hits) deals 140. Without counting W's damage and attack reset.
But if you add three passive proc, it's an additional 60 damages at level 3.
So if leona does toward your adc, you main goal is to keep the opposite adc cc'd and busy.

Those might be obvious to some, but I just wanted to share them.

I think there are two main reasons:

1. it allows you to build into other items really quickly. The 4 wards are super important because it allows you to put more wards down so you want to finish that anyway, but after that you can build into locket really quickly compared to the more expensive eye options.

2. it gives you the opportunity to still build your full support item, which is particularly good for face of the mountain and talisman of ascension.

Basically, what most supports tend to do is to finish their Ruby Sightstone, rush Locket of the Iron Solari and then finish their support item. It's a really quick build path into Locket which I think is the primary goal, because it does delay your build in the long run as you skip the extra gold generation. I think part of the reason it is so prevalent in pro games is because supports generally don't have time to sit in lane and wait for their gold generation to pay off, roaming is an important part of the game; on the other hand, I question its effectiveness in solo queue.
Thanks! I roam a lot so I think I'll pick it up a bunch of times now that I know it's actually good.

Also, given your team is warding very poorly (BUT they are still warding a bit) is it better to place down the 3 wards on a good spot when you have them or place them down on a good spot you need vision at when you need vision there? I usually ward places I later regret like my red's bush nearest to mid-lane when I'm blue side even if my bot tower is still alive (like a "keep jungle safe" kind of ward).

Always have 3 wards + 1 pink at the map at any time, generally speaking you'll find yourself basing regularly just to refresh sightstone stacks and get a pink ward or two. Don't save up stacks for an objective that may or may not be up for grabs minutes later, but make sure that you do have stacks ready by then one way or another.

Hi Vynertje, Bronze 1 support here, can you give me some advice, on how can i improve my accuracy on Nami's Q? It's still hard for me, to land it properly. Also, if not a big problem, can you give me some basic advice on how to support with Nami? Thanks in advance.

For Nami stuff, check out my Nami guide (you can find it in my profile). Generally you don't just want to Q randomly, try to use it together with other spells (i.e. E slow) or try to throw it down when the enemy ADC steps forward for a creep (once he starts the attack animation to hit the creep, he will stand still for a fraction of a second; you can use this to reduce his time to react). For more basic advice, make good use of your bounces and long-range autoattacks, you can often self heal and still get the damage bounce by self casting it. This is particularly effective at early levels, which is where nami is the strongest.
