Sup Spike. There's a mistake in Gank and Tank build's notes, saying that we should take Visage instead of BotRK, but there's apparently no BotRK in this build.

Hi, Spike! It is me again. I was wondering: What do you think about the new Sanguine Blade on Shyvana? I seriously thought about it and used it as a third item, after Titanic Hydra and jg item and found it really good, specially for counter-jungling. What are your thoughts about it?? :D

Informative guide, thanks. It covers just about anything a new Shvana player needs to know

how come you start w? I went in practice tool and found that e does more damage. Is this outdated? because Im pretty sure I read that you went w because celerity gave you more damage, so im guessing that this was before celerity was nerfed. Also do you have an op.gg I can follow?

Hello, Spyke. I am your stalker a fan of your work and I've been playing a lot with Shyvana. Acording to you we could take drake already at level 4, though it was risky because we would be really low and could die should the enemy come. However, I tried jg after those changes in the jungle at patch 9.23 and I was astonished at how fast Shyvana was growing. Before I would need to take red-blue-gromp and 2 mini wolves to get lvl 3, now I don't even need the wolves and, to make thing more interesting, just farming I managed to be 2 levels ahead of an enemy Rengar. To make it even better, taking the first drake, an infernal drake that was supposed to be the hardest to take, was astonishingly easy and fast at lvl 5. I wonder if it would be that easy lvl 4, but given at how fast Shyvana evolved just by farming (and taking the enemy chickens), is way easy to take 5 before going drake.

Now with those changes in the jungle, don't you think that was somewhat an indirectly great buff for a champion that take Dragons with ease such as Shyvana?

Hello :) Yes, I think the pre-Season 10 changes mean that Shyvana is 'back'! The main thing is the changes to jungle XP and camp spawning timers, so that being a good jungle farmer is now actually rewarded. Taking enemy chickens is a good strategy, someone like Rengar is always going to leave those at levels 1-2 because he takes them so slow.

Either level 4 or level 5 for first drake seems good to me, Shyvana can do it at either level if she went back already (for example, Hunter's Talisman + Hunter's Machete + Dagger should do it fast and safe). The exact timing of going there in a game is obviously going to depend on your vision, your knowledge of where the enemy jungler is, and whether your bot lane has lane priority. So I should say in the guide that Shyvana is "looking" to take first drake any time from level 4 onwards.

I have aimed to update the guide for Pre-Season 10 fully when the pre-season started on 20 November but there's probably parts that are still out-of-date, if you spot anything specific please do let me know. I also plan to update some of the videos shown, but need to find good current examples of Shyvana play - if anyone wants to suggest a good Shyvana video in comments, please do!

I also think that you are right. They lowered hp of the dragons and the game is more based on dragons. This is indirectly a shyvana buff. The only con is cloud drake is useless.

yeah, only good for her passive, though the cloud drake dragon soul do help on move speed and increase her DPS after ult for a while.

Not gonna lie, this is the longest guide I ever read. However, this has basically everything a shyvanna player could ask for. I think we will see more of her in season 10 due to the massive dragon changes. AP nuke shyvanna is going to be nuts when those changes hit the live servers.

not gonna lie but people prefer to play shyvana as an AP jungler now instead of AD but i've seen her hybrid

Yes AP Shyvana is a lot of fun.

did shyvana strong at late game ? , and what should i do with her ?

SpikeThePike (16) | September 14, 2019 10:12am
Late game Shyvana wants to tank up, you can even sell items and switch to a full tank build.

Ok so with the scuttle crab rework I cannot seem to have a healthy farm. I used to use scuttle to heal back up but since it spawns later im not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

SpikeThePike (16) | September 14, 2019 10:10am
Shyvana shouldn't need to heal up if you keep in motion around the jungle camps - kite them slightly, let the Krugs block each other a bit, and you should take less damage.

You can also back early - as soon as you have 350 gold - get a Hunter's Talisman and then you can stay healthy in the jungle for a long time.

lol, your name Dragonman suggests you might like the dragon champions!

If you're new to League of Legends, Shyvana is a great champion to pick up, because she will always be reasonably powerful, and if you follow this guide you can get good with her quickly.

Some general tips, if you really are this new to the game:
* don't worry too much about winning or losing games, focus instead on your personal goals: things like your time to level 6, and especially look at your number of CS per 10 minutes of game time, and try to get that CS number higher each game
* try to play 1 or 2 games each day, so that the "First Win of the Day" bonus lets you build IP quickly, you need to build up a pool of champions which you own and know how to play - you can't really understand how to fight against a champion until you've tried playing it yourself
* train yourself from the very beginning to do things right, for example, force yourself to look at the Minimap once every 5 seconds, use your wards, use pings to help your allies, if an enemy is missing think about where you last saw them and where you would be headed next if you were them
* set up your hotkeys and other keyboard and mouse settings so that you can make best use of them - each person has their own preferences here, I like to Smart Cast everything
* play against human players only, never play against bots
* learn carefully about creep waves, how they work, how to control them - look for tutorial videos about how to freeze and push lanes, actually pretty much any tutorial is going to help you.

League of Legends is an amazing game, hope you keep on having fun playing it. And get some S+!
