spamming alert pings? I have twice now. I protested the overpinging and of course as people do, they responded by pinging non-stop, all over the place. So I reported them. I have a problem with it because if someone calls out mia you can miss it if the alerts scroll it off the page, plus you get immune to the sound and stop paying attention.

I doubt they will get banned for something like that, but reporting then made me feel better.

It doesn't seem to be an issue as much as it used to be, now due to the limit. Also they probably won't get banned unless they have multiple offenses

This issue used to be a lot worse.

I think reporting anyone is stupid.
It's a game, and we have to put up with people sometimes messing around, since they are just playing a game.

Strongly disagree since others actions can severely negatively impact yours and other's experience.
The small percent of players that are actually being banned truly deserve the bans due to their actions.

I strongly disagree. A good buddy of mine I used to play with all the time, many people on this forum probably know him, got banned randomly one day. He lost hundreds of dollars worth of RP, his time and his account. He didn't troll, didn't do anything stupid--may have raged a bit sometimes, but that's it. And that goes for tons of people.

People are way too report happy and report for everything, even the stupidest things. I think people should just stop being little *****es and whining when ever some one does something they don't like. Grow up. That's not how the world works.

Some one DC's/leaves/afks from a game and gets reported by an entire team. Maybe their net crashed, maybe there was an emergency, maybe some one was hurt, or something important came up. Real life is more important than a game, but that's probably one of the number one things people report for. Some one curses at you in a game when you do bad or don't listen, maybe something is going on in their lives that causes them to be upset. Almost every game some one's talking ****, should we report some one every time they use an offensive word? Grow up. It's the real ****ing world.

It's a mulitplayer online game, and if you can't deal with people having fun and acting stupid, then don't play games. Go study law or something. That may be more suited to your no fun, all serious, live by the rules lifestyle.

I've seen a lot of moba people get drunk and get on, troll around with silly builds, curse baddies out, get in arguments. Do they all deserve to get banned? Would you say the same if it were your friends you play with getting banned? I'm sure some of them act like this at one point or another.

It's a game.
People need to quit whining, and enjoy it. Quit reporting people because you're a punk and throw a fit when you don't like something.
The tribunal is ****ing broken.

Also, this isn't necessarily directed towards you, but any report happy people who take the game far too serious.
Get over yourselves.

That's my opinion on the matter anyways.

I agree with Havok on the issue. I think nearly every game I report someone, unless I'm running a 5-man premade. If you enter queue for solo mode then you should fully be aware that there are trolls and people playing the game to have fun. If you are searching for a more competitive game experience then you can generally find that in normal draft, 5 man premades, or ranked mode. 5 man premades require minimal effort, Riot offers a looking for group channel and a Clan/Team Recruitment section as well as external sites like mobafire offering these services as well. If thats the type of game experience you wish to pursuit then take an active role in pursuing it

I agree with Zeprido.

Also, flaws in the report/tribunal system (such as unjust bans) should be addressed by more careful use of the report tool and sending a ticket to Riot should your account be unjustly banned.

Reporting no one ever is not a solution. You aren't obligated to use the report tool, but I don't think anyone has the right to tell others never to report.

Though I do agree that reporting for trivial reasons out of spite is a problem that needs to be dealt with in the community. Usually the tribunal members are supposed to check if the report is merited. Obviously this won't always be perfect, but as far as I know it works pretty well.

I agree with Havok, thats why I kind of never report anyone I simply click on "play next game". topic closed for me then. U have an option to ignore people who annoy or insult you, if you cant write /ignore "player name" then search for that button at the score window thing.
And btw have you seen someone raging about a leaver in any of the pro streams? They are actually laughing about it. Its a game.

buuuuuut one thing there... I study law and I have fun in my life!... well... do I?!?!?

Your way of thinking permits being a total a**hole.
You misunderstood a lot: Trolls dont have fun "playing" the game, they have fun trolling.
-> They have fun ruining the fun of others.

Also you seem to cast aside the solo-queue this way, but since it's implemented in the game and MANY ppl using it, it has to be supported.

Everyone thinking that ppl shouldnt report another should be forced to team up with a troll, whenever it's possible for a rnd to be in their team.
WASTING 20-40mins of my time with a joyless farce thanks to ONE FU**ING A**HOLE isnt rly sth I want to do.
Riot should know that if they dont want to loose player base this way.

Get a grip.
The only regretable thing is, that the report-system is a mere joke.
Only the fact, that there are report "options" that are only meant for letting kids blow off some steam is laughable.
