In my opinion you should be able to chose either Noxus or Demacia in the beginning and then evolve more and more to the war.

Cool, I guess I could give a hand after you create a SVN. I use VB because of my job, but I had to understand a lot of C# because like 80% of the documentation you find on the interwebz is in C#.
I'm not used to video game programming though, which is a whole world in itself. I'd say I'm best at organizing data structures and abusing the OO philosphy. Let me know if you need some help, I just love to solve puzzles.

I thought about this thing too, and considering Riot's general approach, I'd be surprise there would be any problem with this, as long as the project isnt lucrative. Maybe it'd help if the game was created under GPL or something, but that's definately something that needs to be checked out.

Indeed the rights can be a problem but I figured I would just send them an e-mail or something asking if it is okay.

Haha well I actually refered to any version manager, Subversion is cool but you have to manage your own server. I used googleCodes for a final project back when I was in school, it works really well and frees your mind compared to Subersion or something.
I know quite a few artists who enjoy League of Legends, I'll check out if they could be interested in your project.

As you may or may not know I am planning on making my own game. The game is going to be a 2D RPG game (think of old Pokemon games or this video, with the main story line being Demacia vs. Noxus. However I can't do this alone, I need your help! Here is a list of things that should be done:
- Main storyline (I did this, but improvements can be made)
- Sidequests (I have some ideas but there can never be enough)
- Battle System (how fighting works, looks like, how Champions level, etc.)
- Champions (which ones, base stats, growth/level, etc.)
- Graphics (map design, character design, battle design, etc.)
- Music (who wants to play a game without any sound?)
- Programming in C# (I will, but it will be a lot of work)
- Grammar/Spelling check (language used is English, obviously)
There is probably more but this is all I can think up of at the moment ^^
If things go well, who knows where it will get you! If this works out good you might earn money, or get a jumpstart in your career as programmer, designer, musician or writer. It will look good on your resume, anyways :)
