I feel like those kind of threads are taking overhand in the General Forum, but they are nevertheless interesting to read and provide some very good information especially for new players who are afraid of solo queue. So, how about a subforum for those threads? Or a subforum for ranked/competitive games in general?

I like this idea - especially the one regarding ranked/competitive games.

This way, let's say a tournament is on, there's a place to post about the teams, games, comps, and all that good stuff.

I'd like to see a Ranked/Competitive Matches or something similar go ahead.

We will include it in our discussion/plans to do a little forum house cleaning :)

Edit: Also don't forget about the blog system. Many users post their ranking journeys on their blogs.

That would lead to blogspamming - at least in my opinion.

You mean creating a forum for sharing rank stories would lead to blogspamming? It's a valid concern. Really the blog is a better place for people to share their rank climbing stories anyways, so I'm not super keen on creating a forum for something that already has a better venue. A forum for competitive play and tournaments though, could have a place.

i think the main problem with putting ranked journeys on your personal blog is that, it's less likely to check someone's blog everytime. since in the forums people access it a lot more, people will just naturally glance and see someone's ranked journey and comment on it. personally, i like the "forum for ranked journeys" idea so far.

Lul na that wouldn't make sense:P

I mean it would lead to blogspamming if all people that make those "ranked-journeys" would make blogs.
A subforum would be kinda helpful. And it's way easier to keep track of threads at least in my opinion

And agreed on the competitive & tournament thing.. every time a tournament is on it's the main topic being discussed - in the general forum.

I'm all for making a more competitive and professional gaming oriented forum. It'll be a nice contribution to MOBAFire, imo.
