The item build section is so set in stone, I can only put 6 items.

I cant show alternatively builds for example if i'm playing against an AP bruiser rather then an ad bruiser, I can't show a reader what do if they are snowballing, what items to go if they are losing. I know I could put a chapter in but when you are ingame you look at the cheat sheet that is all. If i'm learning a champion I'll look up a guide and the matchup section. I won't read the rest unless the champion has some interesting mechanics or I want to pick up some tips.

Please for the love of god allow us to put text/alternative item builds within the same champion build. You could say make another build however I already have 3 for the champion I am trying to make which is a Passive Build an Agressive one and a Jungle one. If there was a text box in there which takes like 5 minutes to make maybe? It would allow for a lot better guides coming out and not just, YOU MUST BUY THESE ITEM EVERY GAME AGAINST EVERYONE AND EVERY SINGLE TEAM COMP.

The rest of the guide system is amazing and it seems crazy how something this important has been over looked when the rest of it is flawless and exceptionally good for other roles but how can you expect people to make a guide, a guide is supposed to show someone how to play a champion, what to do, what to buy etc. Without this it like a ham sandwich without the ham. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻)

This was written on a phone so excuse the spelling ( and perhaps the overly aggressive rant) this is really the only thing holding back mobafire guides as a whole.I seriously hope to see this soon on mobafire as it is a extremely fundamental feature that is needed.

tl;dr: text box for builds, thanks.

Yeah, this is something that has been high on our list for a long time. The builder needs to be redone entirely though, it's by far the most complex system on the site and some of the code is outdated. It's going to be a pretty major undertaking but we have really wanted to do it for some time.

If you take a look at DOTAFire and SmiteFire, we were able to address these concerns when we set those sites up fresh, and they have multiple item builds. We intended from the start to bring that to MOBAFire, it just hasn't happened yet. It will!

Thank you for your feedback! It helps us to justify putting things aside to focus on it :) We will be discussing this. In the mean time, if anyone has suggestions on how to improve the build system, let us know! When we do go to rebuild it that is the time to get in other improvements :)

I like the idea of allowing custom descriptions for items, though it's difficult to display that if the descriptions are more than 3 or 4 words. They could exist in tooltips with an icon indicating when they exist.

I would also like to note that, in the mean time you can add multiple builds to your guide :) I know this isn't the best solution at all for the scenario you describe, as it's not an entirely different build just some "branches" in the item choices, but it helps in some situations.

Another suggestion I would have would be to let people pick which champion portrait they want to use. :P Not exactly important but if we're redoing it anyways, why not!

Another thing along those lines is let people upload an image that would replace the chapter title. Lots of people like to make banners / headers for their chapter titles and having another chapter title looks bad. People have been working around this by using anchor tags to make their own table of contents but we could just build it into the system that when you click on the table of contents it takes you to that chapter, just instead of a text chapter title it would be an image.

Here's an example of what a lot of people like to do with their guides that this function would be useful for: http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/struck-by-moonlight-a-competitive-mid-lane-diana-guide-240462

See how this one has banners that have the title and the chapter title is redundant / looks bad? http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/ahri-the-fox-in-the-middle-168014

I'm sure I can think of more things than these that are more important, but that's just what I thought of off the top of my head. :P

Well the threads made about multiple build orders for MobaFire are numerous in the support forum and vet forum. Just the ability to have something like SmiteFire where you can have more than one build displayed in the cheat sheet would be great. Don't have to include alternative runes, masteries, summoners - just a few builds to display. Nothing major, like 6-7 item builds, maybe there can only be a limit of 4 or something, and the top one is the one that is displayed in the search.

I think if your redoing it you should give us like a line or 3 to explain some of our controversial item choices up there before people just look at it down-vote and move on.

I had an idea in another thread, but uhm instead of the comment to vote system, why not just have it ask if you would LIKE to leave a comment with your vote. I know this thread is about the build cheat sheets, but while we are on the topic of improvements, I thought I'd mention it. :3

It would be cool if it would be like this:

Starting:
Core:
Typical End:

It would appear like that, almost like SoloMid, difference being the way the cheat sheet is organized. You size them appropriately, of course, the items. Can't have the icons being small :P

Something like this. It needs refinement.
