Getting Tired of 5s

Anyone else?

All that ever happens lately in 5s for me is "OMG No Support; OMG No Tank; OMG n00b Kayle in Mid" - It just seems way to obsessive over very static, stale meta play that mimics the way a few 'pros' played back in S2. Now EVERYONE has to play that way or else they are bad, obviously.

I just find it very repetitive and find myself playing nothing but 3s lately. At least there you find some originality and innovation with builds.

Thoughts?

Play what you want to have fun. If you're really bothered by people like that, you need to find some friends and just do premade 5's so you can **** around and try new things. I enjoy playing every role and am up for trying anything as long as people don't troll and half***. So really, I don't mind it.

In 3s, I actually believe the opposite of what you said because everything is a learning experience when you first start doing it but you'll soon see how less versatile it is compared to SR imo.

The meta actually makes sense.

Without a jungler top will probably just halt to a standstill or one guy will snowball out of control (one kill is enough to start snowballing).

Mid with two people can be risky because you will inevitably push and be open to ganks from sidelanes and the jungler.

ADCs have a hard time coping with early game without support and need as much farm and xp as possible so you send them with a support to the short lane. It's also closer to the Dragon.

Imho the most common problem occurs when people refuse to take tanks.
I don't play LoL anymore.

Gave you a good laugh or helped? rep+ so i can know ;)

Thanks to TinyStar, Jhoi, Xiaowi, Virus, Bard and Arcana(eww)...for my signatures!

Elohell is like Irelia's stun: if your real level is equal or lower than the level you are in, you're STUNNED there forever. If your actual level is higher than the level you are in, you're just SLOWED in your way up.

I don't think it'd be good either to make a super-good map that may dominate SR.

I agree that the fanatical obedience to the meta is annoying, but The Twisted Treeline isn't much different. The meta here is either two durable champions and one squishy dps or a tank, adc and ap caster. And it's always 1 top and 2 bottom.
The sentence below this one is false.

Yeah definitely find some people you can do premades with. Doing games with people whom you know (even remotely) make the game a lot more fun. I did a 4 man premade with my friends, and we had such My friend did AD leona mid. I went soraka support bottom with my friend bashir, who went AP yi bot. My friend matt went mana jayce top. We somehow won, but that's beside the point - we had a lot of fun doing something weird
If I helped you out, be sure to throw me a +Rep!

Meta is about to die anyway. Issue is there will not be a clear meta after it . I guess we will have the dota thing. There is a genreal set up idea ( which probably would be the current meta ) but good players will know when to stick to it and when to devinate from it. Which means for you nothing will change at all because low elo people are most of the time really butthurt if you try anything not nomal. I know that. Just got to live with it.

I'm also a tad tired of doing 5s when I'm alone, and doing 3s with strangers feels too awkward (mostly if they barely communicate). Doing premade 5s or 3s is a lot better. Otherwise, Dominion to burn some fast adrenaline until friends are back online :>

PS: Or reading a cook book...
PS2: I don't mind to follow the meta, as long as everyone chugs a pot of chill pills and go serious business even when the tides are against us.
