"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.
I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

garden state was a surprisingly good movie. but regarding the kickstarter stuff...given the attention garden state received I find it hard to believe he can't find backers outside of kickstarter that aren't willing to give him complete creative control of the movie.
Watch the video for the kickstarter...
He says that he's got people giving offers, but all of them want the right to the final cut(what scenes to use and which to skip) and to choose the cast.
He even gives silly examples of what could happen in the video.
And in case you didn't notice, the whole don't back campaign is just a joke.

^ yeah I hear ya. I watched it. still stand by the fact that given his critical acclaim for garden state I find it hard to believe he can't find a backer that won't give him complete control. I am a fan of him so I hope it goes well...but still kind of feel like kickstarter should be for people who REALLY need it. meh...whatever. he got his casssshhh so he good to go.

I'm pretty sure it's the norm to not give someone complete control in movies, so I don't think it's weird that he doesn't find someone that would give him that.

Looks pretty promising.
I didn't know he had made Garden state and it seems that movie was pretty well received, so I'll def be checking that one out.
