Why can't we see what got us Rep?

I agree it's not a fantastic solution, but I'd rather have a little less +rep than a bunch of people getting promoted for absolutely no reason. I think a refresh every 3 months would be okay - 3 months after I last gave someone the last of 10 +rep, I can give that person +rep again. However I think it's quite hard to realize that, and face it - is it really worth it?[/quote]

I can imagine it being a hard task to decide whether that +rep was useless or not. It's not about you not getting the +rep, but the fact that my appreciation for your post couldn't be shown using the system. But I don't think the visualization system will ever work perfectly because rep is apparently(?) strongly tied to promotions. On the other hand, if you do visualize it, I think it'll be easy to identify these +rep circles and act, making the limit unnecessary.
