Manga/Anime You Read/Watch

I would recommend giving it a shot, there are more things going on and I think the characters are interesting(don't hurt me pls) EDIT: I just watched the first episode of the Psycho-Pass remake(extended version or whatever) and I feel like I've been missing out. I'm not sure whether I should watch the original first or not but I think I'll continue watching this for now. Reminds me a little bit of Ergo Proxy. This one has more action though.[/quote]

I literally don't give a crap about the protagonist because he's been nothing but a an annoying fuck since the start.[/quote] yeah i had 3 people recommend tokyo ghoul (the anime). i felt similarly. it needs to lighten up the dark elements a bit; and in regards to the protagonist, i feel like i have seen this protagonist so many times before. the whimpy crybaby who slowly turns more into a bad ass as it goes on. i mean really how many times have i seen that...too many. i have to admit though the animation and the art are pretty great so it will likely be a successful series, and it is still better than a good deal i have seen even with the stale character personalities.[/quote]

Most other shounen keep their MC a whimsy crybaby and just make him mentally more confident (which doesn't really help the MC getting stronger or anything, but it is all about being confident and nice and saving dem grills for the harem).[/quote]

Over the course of these next two episodes I haven't seen as much, though, and a lot of still frames, so it might just be that they blew a lot of their animation budget/time on episode 1. That people are playing music is tangential to the feels. Largely because the "dark trauma" and "alpha wolf" tend to imply a certain type of asshole that this main character isn't. He's too, like, inactive to really do well with those labels. I can totally get behind you not liking him--romance animes aren't really your thing (as far as I can tell) and the character archetype is pretty tired--I just want you to accuse it of the right things. And the last two anime that I'm going to try this season, because now I've tried basically everything: [i]Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru[/i] was pretty fun. I mean, it helps that it's a not-entirely-trope-y magical girl anime (not that it isn't still full of tropes) and I dig magical girl anime. Shit happens, magical girls need to defend the world (I think) from the Bad Guys[sup]TM[/sup] or Bad Stuff[sup]TM[/sup] will happen. Also one of the starting magical girls has a fuckoff-sized sword. Realistically, though, it's probably only worth watching if you like magical girl stuff or typical non-dark shounen, both of which it resembles. But, like, the double-length first episode wasn't actually all that good. Nothing happens in an extreme way, where both nothing of any real interest happens and what does happen is probably not important and is also super boring to watch. And it's using a 3D rendered art style that just bugs me, which I'm having a really hard time getting into. The two combined mean that I'm probably not even going to watch the third episode, even though I already have it downloaded. Just, damn.
