Mousesports shows off their new lineup in the Elite of Europe

A tournament took place this week to figured out what team is the Elite of Europe. The teams consisted of:

  • SK Gaming
  • Gamehoppers.eu
  • Moscow Five
  • Mousesports
  • Curse EU
  • FnaticRaidCall
  • Team Acer.Poland
  • Team SoloMid

The tournament contained a plethora of interesting storylines. SK Gaming was still without a jungler after Dedrayon left for Mousesports. Speaking of Mousesports, they are took part in the tournament with their new lineup of MoMa (formerly aAa), Prothana (formerly Team Derpers), Dedrayon (formerly SK), Candy Panda (formerly SK), and Dax (formerly Millenium). Oh yeah, SK and Mousesports were playing against each other in the first round. In other stories, FnaticRaidCall was playing their first tournament with Pheilox the main support after Mellisan left on July 11th. Gamehoppers.eu, a team that has come out of nowhere, was going to have the ultimate test in Team SoloMid; get past TSM and they could have their 3rd final in July against Moscow Five.

Former SK (Mousesports) versus SK

SK was forced to use a substitute in this tournament picking up Svenskeren, there are rumors that he is the new jungler but nothing official has been announced.

Game 1

Sven ( ) starts of the game with some stellar ganks: egging Anivia and killing Dax ( ). SK was able to have a better early game than Mouz and got farther ahead at the dragon fight where they got a 3 to 1 team fight and picked up dragon, giving them a 3k gold lead at 15 minutes. Kev1n ( ) is far ahead of Candy Panda ( ). Good thing for Mousesports that this match was a best of 3 because every lane lost big time. Mouz was down 9k gold at the 27 minute mark but the game felt like it was shifting towards Mouz favor after some pick offs and team fights that Mouz definitely won. However, after a great baron steal by Dedrayon ( ) the Mouz team initiated after Dedrayon was blown up immediately. SK was able to demolish them and get an ace which allowed them to push down the inhibitor. The game took SK almost 40 minutes to win but they were ahead the whole game.

SK 1 - 0 Mouz

Game 2

While going to ward the wraiths, Nyph was destroyed by 4 of Mouz waiting in a bush at level 1. The kill gave Prothana ( ) a 1 kill lead going into the laning phase.

Dedrayon ( ) was steady ganking ending the first 10 minutes with a 0/0/4 score.

Candy Panda ( ) showed why he was so good around the 14 minute mark when he catches SK overextended trying to kill Dax ( ). Candy Panda was able to get a double kill on Kev1n and Nyph and add to the lead he already had through being 20 ahead on farm.

This game was the former SK players' game to show their former squad just how good they are. Dedrayon's ganking and Candy Panda's farm was the key to the win in this game. Mouz had much more damage with Kayle and Ezreal combined with the burst of Ahri and there was not much SK could do about it. At the 22 minute mark the former SK players were doing quite well: Dedrayon - 3/0/9 and Candy Panda - 3/2/4 221 CS. The game ends around the 28 minute mark with a 22 to 8 score in favor of Mouz.

Game 2 - Mouz versus SK

Game 3

The game starts with SK Kev1n getting invaded in the bottom lane tri-brush giving the kill to Prothana . The invade causes SK to attempt to retaliate without their AD and it doesn't result in a kill but it was extremely tense for Mouz. Sven was able to steal the Mouz blue but gets picked off right after and gives the blue buff to MoMa which gave MoMa a huge lead on Ocelote . Mouz started the laning phase with the equivalence of a 3 goal lead in soccer (Rest of the World read Football).

Once again the former SK players are proving that they are extremely good and will be missed with the SK organization. Dedrayon has 3 assists and Candy Panda was 2/0/2 by the 10 minute mark. Mouz was in such a position that it could be classified the 'Throw of the Century' if they were to lose this game.

At the 25 minute mark, Candy Panda is 6/0/6 compared to Kev1n at 1/4/1. Dedrayon is 2/1/6 compared to Svenskeren at 0/4/1. The two former SK players really put it to their replacements.

Mouz is able to get an one sided team fight after a baron pick up due to SK not contesting in time. The lost team fight results in a surrender vote from SK as they were down 23 to 7 in kills.

The Mouz vs. SK Stats

The Elite of Europe Bracket

Quarter Finals

The quarterfinals had great matchups. The American team that was attempting to take over Europe, Team SoloMid, was able to out class Gamehoppers. In game 1, Dyrus was able to destroy Gamehoppers going 10/0/7. In game 2, Chaox took over going 10/0/7. So the new up and coming team was shut down early. Moscow Five did as expected against Acer as Diamond was able to take over both games on his treasured Shyvana. Curse EU was able to out push Fnatic in both games taking down what looked like even games but the towers told a different story.

Semi Finals

The semi finals consisted of 3 goliaths (TSM, M5, and Curse) and 1 David (Mousesports). M5 was able to take out Mousesports in the first game but Mousesports was able to pull it around in the next two with MoMa carrying game 3. Curse EU was able to take down TSM in 2 games with extinkt (AP for Curse) taking control.

Finals

Mousesports were able to take Curse down in the first game but the second and third game was extinkt once again taking control. Instead of writing about it, here are the VODs.
