Ocelote signs with Digibet w/ Interview

In the announcement on OceloteWorld the Marketing Manager for digibet, Tom Lemke, said the following: "We were looking at the current state of e-sports bets and it was not very satisfying for us. So far only vanilla bets were offered. Thats why we came up with flavor bets such as First Dragon, First Blood or even individual First Blood where you can bet on a specific player. I think our betting product really shows how much we love League of Legends."
Ocelote himself in the same announcement talked about how this was not a PR stunt by digibet but that they genuinely are in it for the long run and have a clear vision. Digibet started offering League of Legends bets around Gamescom 2012 and they were able to draw in a lot of bets. Now with the testimonial of one of the biggest personalities in all of esports, the bookmaker sets sights on being the definitive place to go for eSports betting.
We were able to ask a few questions to Tom Lemke, Marketing Manager at digibet, about the testimonial deal and their reasoning for getting into eSports.
Why did Digibet choose Ocelote for the testimonial?
We chose ocelote to become our esports-betting testimonial for several reasons:
We wanted to show that we really understood e-sports. I myself played CS 1.6 on the highest level in Germany. In order for e-sports to grow we need faces behind every discipline. ocelote has over 110.000 Facebook fans, he streams everyday and reaches over 15.000 viewers. He is very charismatic and of course he looks good. On top of that he is also a world class ap mid player.
E-sports needs star power to get noticed outside the scene. That's why we chose him because you can put him in front of a camera and he makes the League of Legends scene/digibet look good.

Since Ocelote is on SK Gaming, how will he promote Digibet at events?
He won't. This is a private contract between digibet and ocelote. But currently I am looking closely at the scene. We might pick up another team or another LoL player. We've been sponsoring Mousesports but we haven't announced it quite as big as the ocelote deal.
Why did Digibet decide to start posting lines for League of Legends?
For me as an avid e-sports fan I wanted to push e-sports to the next level. TV stations have contacted me asking me the same question and after I talked to them they all realized that one thing: digibet takes e-sports serious. It must be a legit sport.

Are the number of bets growing for League of Legends?
Yes. Yes it will. But we will also include Starcraft 2 and DOTA 2. We call ourselves "home of e-sports betting". So including other games is a natural step for us.
Are there any deposit deals for eSports bettors?
We are working on something "nice" for the season 2 finale!
