Team Spotlight - Orbit

The professional League of Legends team Orbit Gaming was recently founded this year on April 15. Orbit acquired the players from HOODSTOMPGRAVESGG: Yoda, LiNk, Vech, LemonNation, and Hoodstomp. Unfortunately, LiNk and Hoodstomp left the team shortly after to join CLG-Black. Vech and Yoda also left around the same time, and LemonNation is currently the only remaining member of the original lineup.

On May 25th Orbit Gaming acquired nFear Gaming's roster, and maintains this current lineup.

Orbit made a splash at the MLG 2012 Spring championship where they placed 7-8th. The surprise was that an unknown group who had only practiced 10 games together as a team made it this far. They beat vVv, Redact, Legion and surprisingly TSM.evo. Orbit was knocked into the loser's bracket by CLG-NA, and finished off by CLG-EU. However, they didn't go down without a fight as they got 1 win against both CLG-NA and CLG-EU, and winning even 1 game versus these teams was impressive in and of itself.

This hot new team has also gone on to place in several smaller tournaments. They placed 3rd in TSM's 2nd Weekly Invitational and 1st in TSM's 4th Invitational. They have also placed 1st in 3 Go4LoL Cups (62, 59, and 58). They also placed first in Leaguepedia's own Invitational, beating a lot of more famous teams such as Curse and Team Dynamic to claim their $1500 plus gear prize.

Orbit Gaming currently only sponsors a League of Legends team, but is looking to expand into DotA 2 and Starcraft 2.

I like Yazuki

He's top lane and he doesn't fear anything.
