Rod 'Slasher' Breslau revealed today on GameSpot that the well known eSports organization, Evil Geniuses, could be entering the League of Legends scene with a monumental pickup of the former CLG EU roster, out bidding Azubu, owners of top teams Blaze and Frost.

It was revealed by the Counter Logic Gaming organization in their slew of 2013 announcements that CLG EU would not be renewing their contracts, parting ways potentially after receiving a better offer. From Breslau's article, it seems as though both Evil Geniuses and Azubu were vying for the team.

The news of the possible pick-up will come as a shock to most people that have kept track of Evil Geniuses' stance on the League of Legends scene. As most know, key members of the organization have voiced their opinions of League of Legends as an inferior game, stirring much drama across the eSports world.

Today is the day that a champion will be crowned in Korea but the champion may not be a Korean team. Counter Logic Gaming EU and Azubu Frost battle it out in front of a huge live audience in outdoors Seoul, South Korea. The winner here takes home 50,000,000 Korean Won (~$43,000 USD) and the right to call themselves the champion of one of the most difficult leagues in the world. The winner also gets 400 Korean circuit points, while 2nd place only gets 200 points.
