My 2nd blog entry - I think I'm gonna upload them daily unless something comes on my way, or I'll have no material to cover (nowadays I have tons of material, almost like tons of damage), so... let's get started!
Darius champion spotlight has came out, as well as his stats are available on the net. From what you can see, he is basically a bruiser type of champion, less tanky solo top option. You could call him a Garen with mana bar. However, one thing that makes him really good is Noxian Guilllotine - his ultimate. It works kind of like Garen's ulti and is sort of finisher dealing damage depending on his passive stacks on the enemy. The damage goes from 160/250/340 +75% AD up to 320/500/680 + 150% AD and as a true damage (neglecting your armor etc). On top of that, everytime Darius kills enemy champion with this ulti or at least half a second after the ulti, the cooldown of it immediately goes off (it's 100/90/80 normally). Now, this is what I believe the best ultimate in the game so far. It's like combination of better Garen's ulti with a better Katarina's passive and is a marvelous pentakill maker. Of course, everything for the price of being squisher and having no real escape engine, as all his skills are more or less damage dealers or buff for the autoattack, plus one gap-closer, kind of similiar to Nautilus's one in how it looks. Still, my premonition is that Darius will be banned entirely through the first two weeks of presence or so and nerfed useless afterwards. Maybe then he'll get a remake, but I don't see him balanced as what he's know. Or who knows - I may be wrong?
The other news, that really is on my mind (and if you saw my last blog entry you probably know why)... Well, let my just quote it.
So, to make things short - Riot is now going to ban you if you play against the meta (only in ranked though, but still). Well, I could make an entire article about how stupid this kind of behaviour is, but... They even went as far as to tell you that you should not play ranked for fun! I mean, c'mon, it's just a game! You're trying to tell me to stop enjoy it? Cause else, you would ban me? Especially after all that money I paid you to have more fun with awesome skins? Gosh...Well, let me tackle this a bit, since you deserve at least some more solid commentatory. Firstly, I don't like how they say experimenting and show you examples of people playing off-meta, which fantastically shows how narrow-minded is some of League community (apparently including even the creators). Because, you see, it may be just that those people play their own way and they know what they are doing better than you! For example (from my own experience), if someone takes Malza AD carry, maybe it's just that he's his best carry and he finds himself strong with it? Maybe it's you who force him to experiment saying "play Malz AP lol stupid noob", because he never actually played AP Malz or played very little with no apparent results? But yeah, better just hate them, say they are noobs, report them and - yes! You got it! Riot will ban them, just like they said! Woo-hoo! A pity that most of them have to go at least 10/0 to have their support actually start supporting them and the rest of the team to do anything more than shout what kind of bad players are they...
The last thing - yes, all of today's entry is going to be nothing more than complaints, that's just the mood I'm in, but really - I have the reasons! One of them is that the game client seems to get more and more bugged, instead of doing the other way, like it normally should... This is just one of the views I got few hours before writing this post, so splendid I couldn't stop myself from screeing it:
(removed all the names and custom chat messages)Apart from those, many times the client freezes while you are in the queue and if you want to restart you must be careful not to do it while you are in the lobby, cause you will lose elo for the leave and there is no real way to tell whether you are in queue or in the lobby (other than when you are duo queueing so your partner may tell you this). Other annoying things are stuff on the game beggining, like mouse problems (I often get it recently), where your mouseclicks don't work, although you may move the cursor, or the cursor moves only up to the half of the screen (this one happened to me numerous times lately), which makes you lose precious time and early game advantage due to forced reconnect... And lastly, I have this annoying error with my skins not being applied in the game despite I have them clearly chosen in the client (like when I set them earlier on in the games and always use them by default, or even rechoose them in the client just to make sure)... I mean, what's that? I payed my money for the skin, now freakin' let me use it, goddamit!
Okay, I think that's enough of complaining for today (sorry, I'm Polish, so it's my national duty to do so), now just one single request for the Riot...
Bring fun back to the game!
And it'll be perfect.
