Hey these are my answers to your questions on Rumble

- Rumble is able to do fine against laners like Irelia and shen, vs Irelia, you need to be aggressive early on before she can begin getting stronger than you and zoning you out. Vs shen you need to time your shields right so that they block his Q harass.
- Yes Rumble is still a strong solo top, many people do not play him due to his skillcap. He takes a lot of effort to learn and play, but can do really well in teamfights. He is also not played as much because his only CC is a slow, and many teams will need the top laner to bring CC to the table.

Ok, I played pretty defensive against Irelia because I know that she can handle nearly every lane pretty easily while farming all the minions. So that was my fault. Thanks :)
But I do not feel like he is hard to learn as I don't play him very long and still get scores like 11/2... I'm also doing fine against Riven. His ult is just a bit hard to set with smartcast activated.

I don't think that most of the CC should come from top lane. On top lane you are supposed to farm and to zone your opponent so he falls behind (similiar to bot lane). If my team has enough CC like Ashe Ult, Cassio Ult and an Udyr, then why should the top lane have even more CC?

It is not hard to learn the BASICS of rumble, the hard part comes when mastering the heat resource xD. For CC, It is always good to have at least some CC to help lock down targets. Alot of AD bots wont have CC, Mid and support will usually have CC (Not enough to rely on) meaning top or jungle needs to bring more. CC is a deciding factor in fights it can make or break a big fight. The CC also makes it easier to gank for a top laner and let them get further ahead.

Yeah Berzerk, I understand the point of CC but most of the times our jungler is an Udyr or a Skarner and they both have very hard CC. In addition to that we have a pretty good CC in mid with Cassiopeia / Ryze and also our bot lane has CC. So I think Rumble could be a solid choice then, right?

I think I'll just buy him and try my best.
What runes would you prefer for playing Rumble? At the moment I'm using tank runes and masteries... Runes are Greater Mark of Magic Penetration, Greater Seal of Armor, Greater Glyph of Magic Resist and Greater Quintessence of Health together with 9/21/0 masteries.

I like running spell vamp or MS Quints on him. Those runes do work fine for him though

Rumble is one of the few champs where I use smartcast at all skills except his ultimate...

Usually I dont like playing without sc, but in this case it just makes a huge difference.

I play almost every champion with smartcast because I play champs like Janna, Nunu and Twisted Fate. With those champs I need this little advantage as you need to act pretty quickly...

Ok, so I'll start playing Rumble with AP quints... I hope the other runes are working well with them.
