Hey everyone,
I have been weekly blogging, just not here for now. I am working on a secret site that will launch soon enough and also a new computer is in the workings. Pretty soon I'll be able to post high quality videos and stream in addition to the large amount of blogging content I am already producing. Thanks to anyone who is continuing to read these, and look forward to exciting changes in the future.

Another week, another strategy. This week I'll be explaining the "patch mentality" and how to not get trapped up in it. Many summoners think that a nerf or buff to a champion magically changes them to overpowered or underpowered. Not only is this typically a false assumption, it can be a hindrance to your development. This idea is put in different wrappers such as "flavor of the week" or "bandwagon jumping", however the core remains the same: leaving established knowledge for inherent advantage.
Before getting into the specifics on not falling into this trap, it is important to note that there are situations where a buff or nerf is extremely significant. During the development and beta stages of this game, certain champions were hilariously overpowered. This is not about those times or situations. An example of that is

I am starting a weekly blog for strategy, and likely many others. In this week's strategy discussion, I will be going over an easy trick that will help you and your team win skirmishes easier. There are often small things to be done that add up into larger advantage, and this is certainly one of those things. While calling an MIA might be important, I will now go into how to turn that around in your favor.
One common occurrence amongst the lower levels is people yelling at you to call an enemy Missing In Action (MIA or SS). This is seen in the professional workplace, especially multi-disciplinary fields, and is a very important concept. Working as a team between people you don’t know is critical to advancing yourself in life and in your career, and those same concepts are seen on the fields of justice.
On my last blog entry, I mentioned how one of my college professors gave a lecture on teamwork and synergy. While he wasn’t explicitly talking about League of Legends, many of the terms, concepts and ideals paralleled the League. He went over how a team needs to synergize, become greater than the sum of the parts and how there should never be someone carrying the team in order to succeed. After further research into the subject, I have come across this:
