97 to 9 not bad bro oO I'm gonna start soloQing from today on.. yesterday pissed me off even tho I was premade my whole team failed... I could have played soloQ as well lul:D

Now its 89 Wins / 9 Loses - First time soloQ and whow.

In every single one of your screenshots, I see not only you, but two and sometimes three of your teammates carrying with you, with basically their entire team being 0/4, 0/8, 2/4, etc. Try carrying your team to victory when all you get is the 0/4, 0/8, and even the 2/4's. Not sure why you get those that can carry with you and I don't - to me it's statistically impossible but there you are.

I recognize that if you do well and help your teammates do well, then they'll do well, but you just can't cure stupid no matter how skilled you are.

I'm fully willing to disbelieve in ELO Hell, frankly I wish it didn't exist - I also admit I'm not anywhere near the skill level of a 2200 ELO player. I AM however, higher than a 650 ELO player. With consistently high KDR, decent map awareness, a good understanding of game mechanics and last hitting. I ward, I call mia, I try to help my teammates if I'm close and they're ganking/getting ganked. I use common sense, I know my role, and usually win my lane - I'm not exaggerating, I've tried to take a good look at myself and analyze if I truly am not doing things that are costing me 10 losses in a row for every 2 to 3 wins. I understand the law of big numbers, I don't think Riot is "out to get me," but what I don't understand is why I get the **** that you seem to go up against every time on my team. Take a look at your scores again, how is it your entire team carries and theirs can't seem to even tie their shoelaces? You can't tell me that's all your doing, there is no way you getting 21 kills allows, say, ezreal to get 14 kills and not die a single time. The laning phase is called the laning phase for a reason - you don't get much help, even from the jungler, so it's all about your skill. My games fall apart mid game, when the team runs around like a bunch of idiots no matter how (and I usually do it nicely) much I try to congregate them and coordinate pushes.

So explain to me why I go up against "you" every game, instead of getting "you" on my team every now and then? THIS is my ELO Hell. I can't explain it, but I know for a fact that I don't deserve it. I don't deserve 2200, I probably don't even deserve 15-1600, but I know I'm better than 50% of the LoL community, at least based off of the stupidity of the teammates I often get. I'm not angry, I'm honestly asking. If the scores you've posted are indeed true, what are you doing that allows the rest of your team to carry so well with you, while shutting down their entire team?

I always imagined that a high ELO player would simply dominate, while the other 9 take the scraps left behind, so the individual scores on your team would be something like 21/2/3, 1/2/14, 2/5/5, 0/6/9, and 3/1/10. Instead I'm seeing 21/2/9, 14/0/10, 5/1/11, 0/4/5, 2/5/19 or something close to that.

Why are my team scores something like 10/5/4 (me), 2/8/4, 1/5/2, 0/3/6, 3/3/5? Where is that x-factor that seems to pull your team up with you? Or had you considered it? I wanna believe that I don't just have the worst luck ever, but it seems to me like I do. It SEEMS like I just get **** for teammates, while the other team gets two decent players that carry their team (and essentially get the entire team to work well together), while mine all do stupid things off by themselves like jungling when the entire team is MIA and both the mid towers are down. I've looked and looked and looked for what separates you people from me, but I just can't find it - I want to improve, I just don't know WHAT to improve, and it's frustrating.

If I'm jungling all lanes get pushed so I can't gank effectively. If I'm mid, bot lane gets fed, the lane gets pushed, and I get ganked by bot lane and sometimes the jungler as well. If I'm top, I win my lane, get a killing spree, and check the team KDR and it's 4/9, with mid and bot lost. If I'm bot my support ends up being someone like Janna, who basically pushes by harassing with her wind, or doesn't buy any wards so I have to take money out of my own economy to do so, or picks somebody stupid for support like Garen when they have Soraka. Or I choose Soraka and my partner decides it's a good idea to overextend three times, dying twice despite my efforts to heal and silence. Even in these situations (unless something goes wrong - someone gets fed and I get unluckily targeted frequently) I often end up with a winning KDR. In the case of the bot lane, I don't win my lane as often, as I have to rely on someone else. This is honestly what happens to me in about 75% of my games or more.

What am I doing wrong? What's the x-factor that can turn the Janna in my lane into a pro, or my jungler into a ganking fiend, boosting both our KDR? How can I jungle in a way so that I can actually get ganks because my teammates aren't pushing their lane? What in the hell am I doing wrong?

Ahem, sorry for the wordiness and the ranting, but it seems you know your stuffs, so here I am, asking for help.

He also upload some replays with/on LoLReplay. Just rewatch some games at your ELO. Maybe he ain't as high as you right now but you can see that his/our playstyle changed by raising ELO. He played most ranked games with me(Sonamy) back from 0.

So what you're saying is two high ELO players duo queued? That makes a lot more sense now. Especially because your ELO was probably not at 0, so the range of ELO was probably high. I'm not sure how they "calculate" how you queue, but if your ELO is something like 1500, and his is 0, then you could get anyone between 500 and 1000. Granted this is still the range of "ELO Hell" but it gives you a wide range of possibilities.

I will watch the replays. Unfortunately it seems that the champs I tend to use (Gangplank, Fizz, Amumu, Lux, Vayne, etc.) are not really what he/you play, but I will see if I can see anything.

EDIT: Just noticed that he said you dodged down with him. Noted, but still sketchy. How would one improve ones ELO by oneself? (Sorry that sounded super snobbish, you know what I mean).

SECOND EDIT: Just watched one of the videos (lee/janna and riven/fiora). You are a lot better than me. End of story. In terms of knowing when to attack and get the kill especially. I still think I deserve a higher ELO, but I'm learning that there's this "wall" that's hard to climb over unless you are ridiculously overpowered. I am not. I think had I ended up winning my first few games and had some decent luck, I would maintain a 12-1300 ELO range, but you have opened my eyes. Thanks.

As xSona already said, I am often duoQing with him.
Thats one important factor in low elo play: Get a mate on which you can rely on.

So why do I carry my team that much that they begin to carry themselves?
The first 900 Elo were pretty easy. Enemies were dumb like **** and couldn't do anything on their own.
Stoping them was so easy, almost not even worth killing them and instead go farm creeps.

While I jungle, I personally try to give the firstblood/kills to the laner. I only get kills I need to secure, or when I really need the feed.
The best part about it is the duoQ Mate. He is the one you know, you can either ignore because he can do everything on his own, or you can babysit, so he gets fed and can carry aswell. If this duoQ Mate is even bottom, then up to 3 players can be fed upon 1 gank (in best case up to 4 or your whole team at a dragon fight).

That's easy to explain: It is called snowballing. Once you start getting kills, you know you have the upper hand. You know you can kill them but at the same time do not overextend. That's the way to throw away a game.
Second, if you are snowballing, try to tell your team not to overextend aswell. Seeing that one of their mates is owning makes them overly happy with joy and they want to have kills aswell, thus overextending and maybe end up feeding. One of the easiest things in low elo is indeed babysitting a lane till you can 2v5 the entire enemy team.


Oh well, when we started at exactly 0 elo, people often picked Anivia. None of them knew that they could stop their Q through pressing Q again... we explained it to them and they got better. While Sonamy tends to mock the low elo players (or makes fun of them) I try to explain things nice and clearly to them (leasing, tricky leashing, freezing a lane, only last hitting, trading blows on top etc.).


What you saw here was the outcome of me carrying and babysitting my duoQ mate, thus the 2 highges scores 21/2/9 and 14/0/10 (don't know where you got those statts from but thats only for explaination here). The principe in this is cleary: 1 or 2 carry the game, the rest no matter which position they are kinda support.

The easiest way to make a random soloQ mate fed and let him carry aswell is to determinate their skill. E.g. AD-carry. When you see them last hitting well, knowing not to push and taking the right positions in teamfights (or in little early scrims) then you can just make him fed and carry aswell. Often people in low elo aren't really bad, sometime sthey are just unlucky. I often us the jabebot (just add him ingame into your friendslist) and typ !pstats xIchi, and he will response to you like this:

Using this in champ select you can already choose who to rely on or not. Because first: The amount of normal wins tell you about their experience. Even if they have more loses than wins, if they have many games played, their experience is much higher than some new lvl 30 who insta went into ranked and failed.


It always seems that one only gets the **** for teammates. Thats one of the cornerstones for the ''EloHell''. I do not want to say that you're one of the Elo Hell Believers but Elo Hell starts when you think you are in Elo Hell.
The answer for your question is already contained in itself: TWO decent players carry their team and make their enteir team work together. The keys in the Dreamworld of EloHell is 1: Oneself beeing good, 2: Having a good duoQ Mate, 3:Having loads of luck.
Though this luck can be manipulated since you have your duoQ Mate wich rises the amount of ''Luck'' to 70% win (?).


That happens everywhere. Even with my ranked team things like that happen.
League of Legends is kinda a psychological game. Once YOU snowball the enemy team gets into a state of confusion and lose their concentration.
The same happens after a lost teamfight though the enemy team is leading in kills and farm. They begin to panic and start making mistakes (E.g.: Baron Fight, you ace them. 2 of them respawn and directly run into your entire team to defend their mid inhibitor <- that's one way most ppl react).



If a lane is pushing, you can start doing the camps around the lanes and camp them for a bit. if the enemy jungler / or the enemy lane calls for a gank you will be there to counter gank.
Otherwise you should just counterjungle and own the other jungler in a jungle encounter.

Well winning the lane isn't everything.
While you're winning your lane, you should keep an eye on the oter lanes, if needed you have to roam a bit and maybe even sacrfice your own tower. (E.g.: Top: You get 3-0 in the first 15 minutes, then you can just teleport into dragon, force a dragon fight, even get the dragon, get your whole team fed).




So
the x-factor you're missing is definitely the non-existent duoQ Mate.
Look for one and get started ;).

I couldn't really help you out, maybe you should stop ranked for a while and just hardcore play normals like I did.
(Season1: I had like 600 wins, Season2: 1400+ Wins).

Wow thanks for the detailed response. I've made a few changes with my playstyle (going in assuming I'm going to carry, letting people know it in a "not cocky" way so as not to attack their pride). It's sad to see people rage around me now, especially on the other team. I've started pitying them.

I've gone 4 and 1 since I decided to change it up. Seems to be working. Either that or I've just had incredible luck. I think the big thing is team morale. Since I've started assuming and letting people know that I'm going to carry, I get a lot more support from them, and we end up playing as a team and winning.
