Threats to Kalista with this build
|Fiora||You won't see Fiora in the bot lane very often, but if you do, her short range makes her very easy to deal with.|
Kalista is predominantly played in the bot lane as an Ad Carry. Although she is very effective as both a top lane bruiser and a mage support, we will focus on her main role. Ad Carry is not a very important position, however while playing Kalista you will be one of the main sources of crowd control for your team. It is important to remember that you will not be doing very much damage as kalista and so you will need to avoid team fights whenever posible.
Kalista's Passive is Martial Poise. It allows her to jump a short distance after every auto-attack or Q. This can be very tricky to use and even the best Kalista players typically only use this to BM.
For her quints, at least two movement speed are essential as she will need them to escape from sticky situations, and I like the CDR as it compliments her build. The health regen seals work very well with warmogs which I believe is crucial to her build. The attack damage marks are standard for AD Carries and they will increase the poke damage of her Q. Lastly, the magic resist blues help with her late game survivability.
You will definitely take cull every game as Kalista's early game is very weak and you'll need to farm up for mid to late game. Also, unique to Kalista is the black spear. This item allows her to become oathsworn to an ally so she can use her ultimate ability. Typically, you won't want to bind to an ally until the late game as I explain later.
In the early game, because you are very weak, you will need to rush damage in order to maximize the poke damage from your Q. It is not essential that you buy items that will build into legendary items, but you MUST build damage as fast as possible.
Ok, now that you have survived the early game, you will want to look to sell your early damage items and start looking to build some codlin reduction. Because you have cull, the gold lost from selling those items is negligible.
The late game is extremely tricky for Kalista because she will need to be engaging team fights with her Q ONLY if the team fight is absolutely crucial. Because of this role, she will need some tank items. Additionally, it is around this time during the game that you will want to think about binding to one of your teammates, probably the most squishy one, so you can save them by ulting when they are in danger.
To conclude, Kalista is a very diverse, utility-oriented late game AD Carry, and is very fun to play. I have over 700 Kalista games under my belt and I can confidently say she can boost you up the ranks. This build has helped me climb and I hope you all enjoy it!
