Varus Passive Ability
Introduction
Varus is an AD carry with a long attack range and a very strong kit. He has long range poke, magic damage steroids to his attack, percentage life damage, forms of CC, AoE damage, and a heal debuff. Varus is hard to play because of all of his skill shots, but if played correctly, he can be one of the strongest AD carries in the game.
Varus' role is to initiate teamfights and do lots of AoE damage. His ultimate is like an Ashe arrow, but it spreads to other enemy champions. He can then follow it up with lots of AoE physical damage and AoE slow\heal debuff. If played right, he can also out-harass most AD carries bottom lane.

Living Vengeance
On kill or assist, Varus temporarily gains Attack Speed. This bonus is larger if the enemy is a champion.
This is easily one of the best passives in the game for an AD carry. An attack speed steroid is really strong for an AD carry, and if you can get it after last hitting a creep, it can be used with ease and for free. You can just last hit a minion and get some poke in. If they try to trade with you, you'll win because of your free steroid. It's easy to sustain the passive in a teamfight because you get it off of an assist\kill.
Piercing Arrow
First Cast: Varus starts drawing back his next shot, gradually increasing its range and damage.
Second Cast: Varus fires, dealing 10/43/77/110/143 (+) to 15/65/115/165/215 (+) physical damage, reduced by 15% per enemy hit (minimum 33%).
While preparing to shoot Varus' Movement Speed is slowed by 20%. After 4 seconds, Piercing Arrow fails but refunds half its mana cost.
Cost
70/75/80/85/90 Mana
Range
925
Cooldown
16/14/12/10/8 Seconds
This is a very strong poke ability. It does a ton of damage for a quick cooldown and a very long range. The thing I like about it is that it also does a lot of AoE damage. You charge it and then let it go, so you should probably be away from your target or chasing safely. You can't attack when casting Piercing Arrow, so be safe when using it. Try to get 3 auto attacks off to get your W stacks, then use a quick Piercing Arrow to pop the passive W.
