I have tried both AD and Hybrid. I'm working on adding a Hybrid guide, but it needs a lot of tweaking before I finalize anything. AP Shaco just has that oomph I love, and a similar feeling to that of kiting with Singed. Whether it's into boxes, or till you 1000Dmg Shiv is off CD (not that long) I often end up killing people with no health of my own to start with.

I rarely get boots because I rarely need them. With Flash and Decieve at lvl 4 I can almost always get away, or get to my enemy. The Shiv slow is more then enough to chase them. If I ever get boots it is more to get around the map than anything else. This is also not an AD build, nor is it a Hybrid. This is an AP build. Using Decieve at lvl 1 will do nothing. It does not stack with AP and it would defeat the point of being AP Shaco.

I've played Shaco a lot and i have to say i disagree with some of the things. My opinion is that you should try laying Shaco on crit/ad or at least hybrid with half jungle. Think about some game shaco was in the opposite team. Isn't the using of 1st driving you crazy. The 3.5 sec you don't know where he is? I advice you to buy boots, cause the first of this hero, makes him able to gank a lot and the crit+slow is almost every time ensuring a kill.
