Example Final Build 2
Twitch is a late game hyper carry that is so good he makes triple kills seem like child's play. However, be cautious of his somewhat passive lane phase and get lots of practice with cs as his short range and relatively low early game damage can make that challenging. With twitch, patience and timing is the name of the game.
Runes and Masteries
Nothing to see here, just keep standard runes and masteries. I would advise against changing anything up here because that would make you much more vulnerable than you need to be. For example, if you think it is a good idea to substitute your magic resist glyphs for some attack speed, well then sona is just going to go full AP and spank the hell out of you. Trust me, the extra 9% attack speed won't be worth it. Stick with the basics here.
As for the keystone, were going with Warlord's Bloodlust because as you may have noticed, were taking ignite instead of heal, so we need to have a backup plan in case you have to duke it out with the enemy laners. As always, you can go the traditional route with Heal and Fervor of Battle, but lets be honest, that's boring and this is way more effective at securing those much needed early game kills.
Ignite. Flash. Done.
Wait.... Ignite? IGNITE??
Yep, all about securing those early game kills, baby. As for flash. Well, flash is flash. No explanation needed. Moving on.
With the new update that happened with assassins, it changes Twitch's skill sequence a bit. Before, you would max E, Q, W, because W was pretty much worthless. Now however, the updates to both Twitch's Q and W make it better to max them in the order of: E, W, Q.
Twitch's Q lasts much longer at its first level than before, and still gives you the attack speed buff and instant cooldown after killing champions. His W is also much better because of the slow it applies and instead of giving a flat 2 stacks of poison upon contact, it stacks one per second for the duration of the enemy being in the puddle. That means we want to get as many stacks as we can as fast as we can, and with his Q being somewhat more buffed, its good to turn your attention elsewhere.
The core items of Berserker's Greaves, Youmuu's, and Runaan's are non-negotiable, non-refundable, do not pass go, do not collect $200. Every game. These are your first three items.
After that it is a little more fluid as to which items you should get, which I detailed in the build paths above and item notes. Read them.
Mechanics: Laning and Teamfights
Laning: Last hitting minions is the name of the game. Keep moving, and move up to periodically last hit a minion, or take a couple shots at one that isn't taking any damage. Don't try to poke too much, because it won't do much good until your combo becomes a little more effective. Have your support keep the enemy champions off your back and try and cs every minion in lane.
Teamfighting: Working with other teammates is crucial to making Twitch deadly. You have to know when and where to pull the trigger. Wait for initiation, on us or on them, and go stealth. Creep to the back of their line or towards one of their unsuspecting squishies. Pop Youmuu's, drop a venom cask (so they can't run away as fast), pop your ulti then mop the floor with them. Its really simple, but if its a fight your team may not win, you may have to settle for picking off one champion, or withdrawing all together.
