Versus High Healing (Mundo, Vlad)
Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello there I am Adentoros, I live in NA but am from Finland. I have written a bard guide available here. I am making this guide as I have noticed a distinct lack of rapid fire cannons in Rengar Toplane builds. I am still working on the AP Rengar, and it's just a joke.
We get some marks and quints of attack damage to help us get through the very early game. We also get some marks of armor penetration to help us deal with those pesky tanks, some mixed resistance seals to help us deal with high damage toplaners (Riven, Zed, Yasuo). Then we get scaling cd reduction glyphs to help us cap out our cd.
In my opinion Rapid Firecannon is currently the best item for Rengar because of how it makes you more bursty and increases your jump range.
Youmuu's Ghostblade is amazing for the amount it increases your assassination potential by speeding you up while stealthed and giving you an extra burst of power to kill whoever you're assassinating.
Other High Priority Items
Mercurial Scimitar is good to escape from the people trying to peel whoever you're assassinating (Jinx, Twisted Fate) and also helps you battle Teemo as it instantly gets rid of his blind. Rush this against Teemo. Obviously don't get it if they have a full ad team, so if that's the case we get
This item increases your damage by a metric f***ton. With this item you now have a 75% chance to get a crit off on one of your q's and it also increases your crit damage to 250% so as it stands it is an extremely strong item, but not without other crit chance item.
Get Mercury's Treads if the enemy team has a lot of cc.
Get Ninja Tabi if the enemy team is full ad
Get Ionian Boots of Lucidity if they don't have a full ad team or lots of cc.
Mortal Reminder is standard when facing high sustain champions like Mundo and Vladimir because of its passive.
Lord Dominik's Regards is the standard anti tank item of season six. Get this first if facing a champion like Malphite or Shen.
Sterak's Gage can be a very strong item when facing bursty ad or ad assassins (Talon, Zed.)
Duskblade of Draktharr can be a strong item of you find that you are not quite finishing off your targets, or there are two targets and you would like to switch target and let the other one die from Nightfall.
Generally before jumping on someone you should have 4/5 stacks so you can double q them, or snare them with your e. In lane using your empowered w to sustain can be a good way to get an advantage over your opponent if you don't want to jump on him for whatever reason (Jungler, He has higher HP, etc.)
