FACE THE WIND

Hello every one. First off I want to thank you for using this guide.

Yasuo top lane is an insanely strong pick right now. Although most people build tank yasuo, I personally find building as a splitpushing duelist works a lot better. So I did some digging around and came up with these builds that I currently have around a 71% winrate with in silver.

Rushing shiv vs rushing pd

Although static shiv will really maximize your damage out put, pd actually synergizes with yasuos kit much more effectively. The attack speed it gives you the cdr you need to really spam q. Also, the movement speed it gives is much better than shiv because you domt really need that much damage and be such a glass cannon. You can output the same damage with some tankiness so you dont just explode in teamfights.

If you dont feel comfortable with your yasuo mechanics I advise rushing one of the two items in the next chapter.

When to rush IE vs BT

Rush IE when you are ahead in cs or kills or if you know you can out trade your opponent/

Rush BT if you are either even or behind as it will give you a lot more sustain in lane as well as some good damage.

Stack your E damage

Spam E while clearing waves. If someone comes you want your full damage available.

TP ganks are your best friend

Look to get ahead and look for any possible roams on your part when you hit 6. Roams bot are free kills.

Dont be afraid

Dont be afraid to go ham on high damage squishies. You have a windwall and will out damage them. If they have tons of cc be more careful but if this is true, you should already have qss.

Use anything and everything to stack your q

Enemies? q
ADC farming? q
Jg taking red buff? q

KEEP IT STACKED IF ANYONE IS AROUND

Yasuo tips and tricks

Yasuo has three important animation cancel combos. The first two revolve around his empowered q. The most simple animation cancel yasuo has is with his windwall. W right after using your empowered q to cancel the q animation. The second q animation cancel is with his e. If you q and then e through a target it will cancel the animatuon and you will follow theq in the same direction as the q. I am not sure if dashing in the same direction is necessary but it certainly makes it easier to do.

The last animation cancel is kind of a bug. This bug occurs if you wait to ult when an enemy is knocked up until they are about to hit the ground and you are about to auto attack for a second time. This will make it so that when the ult is finished, that last auto will go through. Doing this gives you two auto attacks at the end of your ult. This essentially deals about an extra 400 dmg on average.

A good combo to practice is the E>Q>Flash combo. Find ways to set this up as it can lead to some incredibly epic first bloods. Use this ability to increase the range of your E>Q combo in order to knockup squishies in the back line or more enemies at once
