Introduction

Hey guys :)
This is my second guide and I've learned much more about BBCoding, so I hope this guide will be looking pretty. I am from Germany, so please excuse any grammar/spelling mistakes...

I've created this guide, after I've played some games with my premade (he played Rakan of course) and this are my thoughts and experiences of Xayah - the rebel.

This guide will be updated frequently, as soon as I get more experiences ;)

Pros / Cons

+ fastest wave clear I've seen yet
+ huge teamfight potential
+ strong late and mid game
+ good kiting potential
+ Featherstorm allows you to dodge everything!

Masteries

Ferocity


Normally, I use Fury because attackspeed is always appreciated.

You can choose between poke ( -> Fresh Blood ) or sustain ( -> Feast ). If you have an agressive support, you can take Expose Weakness aswell.

I like to get Vampirism for even more sustain (together with Feast ).

Get Bounty Hunter , if you are planning to roam early. Otherwise, it's totally your decision between Double Edged Sword and Battle Trance .

You will only need armor pen, thats why you should take Battering Blows .

I usually pick Warlord's Bloodlust . It fits pretty well with the attackspeed and crit, you recieve with my build and gives you even more lifesteal/sustain.


Cunning


Savagery makes lasthitting easier.

Secret Stash ia the only option for an ADC, because Assassin won't work with your support (hopefully Rakan ♥) and Runic Affinity will only be used in late game, when your jungler allows you to take red buff (max 1 time).

I don't need Meditation , because I usually don't have Mana problems and Merciless gives you some extra damage.

You won't need Bandit , because you will lasthit every minion! Greenfather's Gift only works, if you are sitting in a brush the whole game, so thats why I take Dangerous Game as it grants you some Health + Mana.

According to my experiences, it is nice to have some lethality runes, too.

Spells

Clean Cuts (Passive 1)

After casting an ability, Xayah's next 3 basic attacks strike all enemies along their path, dealing 100% damage to her main target and 50% pass-through damage to other enemies. At her maximum attack range, a Feather will be left in the ground for 6 seconds. Xayah can store up to 5 empowered attacks.




Lover's Leap (Passive 2)

If either Xayah or Rakan is recalling, the other may move nearby and activate their own recall to join them. Both reach base at the time of which the initiator's recall ends.




Double Daggers (Q)

After a brief wind-up, Xayah hurls two feather-blades in quick succession in the target direction, and leaving 2 Feathers on the ground at maximum range.

The feather-blades deal 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 (+0.5 per bonus attack damage) physical damage to all enemies they pass through, reduced to 50% against units beyond the first.




Deadly Plumage (W)

Xayah surrounds herself with a storm of feather-blades for 4 seconds, granting her 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% bonus attack speed, 20% increased damage on her attacks, and 30% bonus movement speed for 1.5 seconds whenever she attacks a champion.

If Rakan is nearby, he will also gain Deadly Plumage, in turn increasing the bonus damage on each of them to 40%.




Bladecaller (E)

Xayah recalls all her Feathers, dealing 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 (+0.6 per bonus attack damage) physical damage to enemies they strike on their way toward her, increasing by 0.5% for every 1% of Xayah's Critical Strike Chance. Minions take 50% damage.

Each Feather to strike a target deals 10% less damage than the last, with a minimum of 10% damage. Enemies struck by at least 3 Feathers are rooted for 1 second.




Featherstorm (R)

Xayah leaps into the air, becoming briefly untargetable but still able to move.

After a short delay, she unleashes a volley of feather-blades forward in a cone, dealing 100 / 150 / 200 (+ 1.0 per bonus attack damage) physical damage to all enemies struck and leaving a line of 5 Feathers at the end of Featherstorm's maximum range.

Skill Sequence

First of all, you have to max your Q Double Daggers. This is your bread and butter spell and your main source of damage. Further more, it is your main ability to generate Feathers, because you can land 5 Feathers just by using Double Daggers and 3 autoattacks with Clean Cuts. Thats why you have to decrease the cooldown of Double Daggers.

Then I like to max my E Bladecaller. It is your main opportunity to use your generated Feathers so thats why you will also need this cooldown reduction. I usually skill Bladecaller 2nd, because your first Item Blade of the Ruined King won't give you Critical Strike and your E will deal increased damage with Critical Strike!

Last but not least, I skill the W Deadly Plumage. Leveling decreases your mana, but only gives you a decrease of 20% attackspeed all in all. I also never had huge mana problems with Xayah so thats why I think you can max Deadly Plumage last. This may change when you are playing with Rakan.

I recommend to skill your R Featherstorm whenever you can.

With Rakan, I like to max my W Deadly Plumage first, because this will effect Rakan aswell and double your damage :)

Then I like to max my E Bladecaller. It is your main opportunity to use your generated Feathers so thats why you will also need this cooldown reduction. I usually skill Bladecaller 2nd, because your first Item Blade of the Ruined King won't give you Critical Strike and your E will deal increased damage with Critical Strike!

Last but not least, I skill the Q Double Daggers. You Q is still very strong, but not as strong as your other abilities, thats why it has to be the last one :(

I recommend to skill your R Featherstorm whenever you can.

Playing as Xayah

Some ADCs can charge straight into combat and start blowing stuff up, but Xayah works best if you take some time to create a game plan. Smart Xayah players will use minion waves to plant fields of barbed feathers, daring opponents to step within their range. When the battle begins, the Rebel gracefully flits around the outskirts of the conflict, slicing up targets with Double Daggers and using her Feathers to create a zone of control.

When the fighting gets hot, Featherstorm can save Xayah from the mayhem or smother her enemies. The best Xayah players will use her ult to achieve both at once, using the brief untargetability to dodge an enemy ultimate while also surging forward to spike with knives and Feathers. If Xayah's good, you won't notice her at all—until, suddenly, she's swooping in for the kill.
