Xin Zhao Build Guide by Joxuu

Let's see what I can help with here:

- In yours Items section you show buying Mercury's Treads but in the cheat-sheet you don't show it o.O

- Runes, I realise you have this one in the situational, but I really think Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist is more effective than Greater Glyph of Magic Resist since AP champions for example Mordekaiser, Akali only start doing more damage as they gain some levels. It is also much more helpful later in the game when AP damage hurts, and actually building Magic Resist is more difficult than building Armor. As Xin Zhao you could kill any AP champ quicker in the early levels if the need rises.

- For the masteries, preferably I would grab 2 points into Tough Skin so if you need to engage a fight in the lane, it will greatly reduce minion damage to you since you already have Indomitable . I would take points out of Honor Guard (useless 1 point) and 1 point from Initiator to get it.

- You can work on adding some gameplay into it if you have the motivation, farming, early-mid-late game. Explanations on why you think Xin Zhao counters or is countered by those champions, and how it is he counters them or is countered by them. ;P

For the purpose of the guide, it is really well done. ^^

I fixed some stuff right away, but some things I have to drop out :/
I want to keep it really simple and short, but I will think of adding a gameplay section, probs a tiny match-up section together with the gameplay section.

why not just say match ups in a spoiler, then have it alphabitized so it is short and if you wanna read it then you hit the person you want.

I understand the purpose of the guide is to be short and simple, yet amazing, but if it ever comes that you want to expand it. Those things would be good to add.

Anything else you're curious about just ask ^^

This guide is amazing, the first game I played while using this guide, my score was 14/5/15. Great guide.

I really like the formatting of this guide, everything looks well planned out. Though for your counters list Darius gets destroyed by you early, but if he survives laning phase then post 6 he can dominate you in a 1v1 fight. You can beat Teemo easily if you can time the cool down on his q. There is no way Lee Sin is a counter to Xin early game, post 6 you can make a case, because he can ult you while you ult. Also you can beat Malphite in a 1v1 fight if you wait for him to farm using his e. After the nerf to Yorick sustain I find that you can burst him faster than he can heal it back, and you can win in a straight up 1v1.

I facepalmed when you said start out Audacious Charge in the jungle. First off Audacious Charge doesn't do much in the jungle, it costs too much mana to spam and its only real use is for ganking. Always go q first if you have sustain like Cloth Armor or vamperic scepter, and w first if you went boots.

You spelled "you", "u" in your jungling section. Masteries seem ok to me, but I like going 21 points in offense, because his play style is suited for a tanky dps, and not an off tank.

I really suggest you try maxing q first. If you get q first your damage increases a lot, and you can stick on to you opponents with Phage. Also you gain more health from wriggles with q first. Overall though I think you did a great job on your guide, it looks aesthetically pleasing, and is completely viable.

@Calibern; I only mentioned the top 5 most voted & based on my opinion counters. Same with what champions Xin Zhao counters.

Teemo - You really must be facing bad one, if he doesn't know when to use his Q. You can rush him as Xin Zhao, but you will only deal the dmg from Audacious Charge while he deals ****loads.

Lee Sin - He is your counter based on his sustain, movement & attack speed reduction, high dmg out-put and able to escape easily without taking any dmg.

Malphite - Same with Teemo

Yorick - That nerf wasn't trimendious. He can still beat Xin Zhao.


And yes I do start with E, because it deals dmg to all units which is more than from Q >.>
You can basically start with any ability and max any ability first, I did mention situational skill sequences. Can't see whats wrong with more dmg with E and then Q for early ganks.
