Jinx Jinx is little to now threat to a Taric. If you aren't careful she can hit you with chompers and punish you hard for getting close, but if you harass correctly, she will be forced to use her aoe to CS, draining her mana quickly.

Introduction

There is a form of magic unknown to many Runeterrans and discredited by the few who are even aware of its existence. It is the magic of the earth, drawing power from the resonance of crystals and gems. Taric, the Gem Knight, is Runeterra's sole practitioner of this form of magic, having been erratically summoned to Runeterra from a faraway world. Back home, Taric's father was a distinguished healer in their home city. Taric was always interested in his father's pursuits, even from a young age. Despite his burgeoning understanding of herbs, plants, and animal medicines, it was the power of gems that most fascinated the growing boy. It wasn't long before Taric had exhausted his father's coveted library and set out on a path of his own. He wanted to help the people, but not by simply salving their wounds and curing their woes. He wasn't to be a healer, but a defender - one who used the power of earth to preserve and protect.

Taric became a wandering knight, renowned across his homeland as a guardian of the just until the day a spell of summoning grabbed him from his home and deposited him on Runeterra. Though disoriented and confused at first, he now feels that the continent of Valoran is in need of someone like him. Despite missing his homeland, Taric is happy to fight in the League, serving as a protector for all who seek one. His neat and stylish appearance combined with his shiny bejeweled armor and weapons have rapidly made him a celebrity champion of the League of Legends. Valoran's media, for some reason, has taken a great interest in his personal life. While open about his life as a champion and gracious in all things, Taric is tight-lipped about his life outside the League and prefers his privacy.

As Taric's father taught him, every stone has its meaning. For Taric's enemies, they all mean trouble.

Pros / Cons

Pros:

Taric is an amazing armor tank. His heals also scale with his bonus HP, allowing him to heal for outrageous amount of HP. Taric has the best Health/Mana start off and nearly the best scaling of all tank supports. His magic resist has the same scaling as all other tank supports, but due to his w he winds up topping the charts in armor and armor scaling. Taric's ult is team wide, allowing him to give nearby allies 35 attack damage and ability power, while giving himself 70 of both, increasing his damage, and healing abilities. His stun scales in duration up to 1.6 seconds, allowing your adc or your team to focus down any enemy you land it on. His w grants him 30 additional armor, and grants all nearby allied champs 12% of his armor (36 armor once you hit 300) making your entire team tankier against attack damage champions. Taric's passive allows him to deal bonus magic damage on his next basic after every spell he casts. It also cuts down his abilities as well, allowing you to use abilities more.

Cons:

Taric is not an magic resist tank, and it is very hard to try to do so. Since all of his scaling is based off armor and HP, picking Taric against AP champs, is a very unwise choice. Taric is heavily reliant on armor, and without hit, he is very easy to kill. Despite him having the fastest move speed of all tank supports, his mobility is the lowest, due to the fact he has no move speed bonuses or engages. For example Leona has E, Nautilus has his Q and his E, and Blitz has his Q and his W. Because of this, Taric is very weak when it comes to gap closing and engaging.
