Stars Hunter's Machete + Five Health Potions. Try to get boots, vampiric scepter, and spirit stone early on (shouldn't take long). Afterwards you want to rush Warmogs + Boots 2 (probably mercury treads, unless they are heavy AD, then get Ninja Tabi). Following that, Move onto upgrading your Vampiric Scepter to a Bloodthirster. Build a Black Cleaver next for more damage and to negate the armour the other team is probably building at this point. Work on getting a Frozen mallet afterwards. Start it with a Giants Belt if you are in need of more tankyness, or Phage for slightly more damage. Finish the build off by selling your spirit stone for a Guardian Angel.

Introduction

Hello, I am Jason and this is my first guide for Mobafire. I got Vi right as she was released and saw her opportunity as an innate Jungler, and figured I ought to post a Guide since not many will have been created and people may be seeking direction for how to use her. This will not be the most upkept guide, nor the best possible guide, and definently not the best looking guide, but it will work. There has been limited time for testing as she was just released, so I doubt this is the "best" possible way to build or play her, but like I said; It works.

With that said, Lets move onto the Guide itself.

Items Explained

As a Jungler, it makes sense that we start off with Hunter's Machete and five Health Potions. This is very typical of Junglers.

Around your first time back to the spawn, you should be able to afford upgrading your Hunter's Machete to a Spirit Stone and buying a pair of Boots of Speed. If possible, try to get a Vampiric Scepter as well. You do not have to buy these in that order, but they are the earliest three items you will want to get, not counting your starting items of course. The boots are obvious as to why they are gotten, after all, why wouldn't you get them? I turn my machete into a Spirit Stone, as the extra damage to monsters allows even faster clear times and a lot of option to counter jungle your enemy, and the regens make it much easier to allow your AP Carry (or AD Carry if they are a champion like Corki) to take blue buff with minimal affection to yourself. Vampiric Scepter provides you with sustain, allowing you to practically always go into ganks at full health after clearing the jungle, and will later build into your Bloodthirster.

After getting those starting items, I try to build some tankiness. I get Giant's belt, followed by a Health Crystal to build into Warmogs Armor. Health is an amazing route for tankiness on Vi rather thank armor/magic resist as it syngergizes with her passive. 10% of her health is converted into a shield after she lands an ability. This means you will take no damage while clearing the jungle by leading in with her Q, or her E. It also prevents a lot of damage from ganking, as you often will lead into it with a ability giving her an early shield to absorb most of the damage you will take, provided you don't overstay your welcome. After Warmogs, Vi is more than ready for some damage. I usually find that between her massive health, shield, and the sustain from Vampiric Scepter, enough money from ganks and clearing the jungle will have accumulated to be able to buy a BF Sword. I buy that, then upgrade it and my Vampiric Scepter into a Bloodthirster. At this stage, you have enough of a build to be relatively safe from death while outputting tons of damage.

I follow up by working towards a Black Cleaver, as it gives even more damage, the Cooldown Reduction is fantastic as often at this point in the game you will be roaming between lanes and it will allow your full combo to cooldown, it gives even more health, and of course, armor shredding. A lot of the other team will probably have some armor by now, so that is practically essential to have. After those items, more health yet is always great, after all, utilizing her outstanding passive is always awesome.. and not dying is too! To do this, I build a Frozen Mallet. The additional health is amazing, and the damage helps a bit. The on-hit slow is great, as you will have been getting sick of chasing running enemies while having your Q and R on cooldown by this point in the game.. Trust me. To finish the build off, you can finally sell that spirit stone we never upgraded since it was useless to do so, and you can build Guardian Angel... just for the off chance you might be kill-able somehow at this point (which you wont be).

Of course, this doesn't need to be followed directly, it is more of a suggestion/outline. Items I would not go without on Vi though, her "Core Items" if you will, would definently be Mercury Treads, Frozen Mallet, and Probably the Bloodthirster or a similar damage dealing item. The rest is more situational, although frozen mallet and Warmogs are totally interchangeable depending on how much tankiness or damage output you need, but I would not go without building at least one of the two.

Runes Explained

Attack Damage Marks, Flat Armor Seals, Scaling Magic Resist Glyphs, Attack Damage Quints.. What else is there to say? Pretty standard AD Offtank/AD in general runes.

Masteries Explained

I haven't played around much with masteries yet, but these work well enough. You can post ideas you tried if you deem them as better, and I will look at it.

In current Ending,

that is about all I have time to type up for now. In my free time I will try to make this better, nicer, and more informative. Hopefully this helps you all Jungle with Vi. By the way, she is extremely OP atm.
