Thanks man. Send me a link to your guide I'd love to check it out. Ivern is a champ that can be built in a verity of ways. And with the new redemption item he is stronger than ever.

My guide is now outdated and needs a few updates but I feel like he's still pretty strong, no matter what the enemy team comp is. He seems to be great against tanks and assassins, though in a lane vs a heavy poke champ like malz or Zyra he doesn't do the greatest. I prefer old locket over new redemption but redemption is definitely a nice item. Just wish they didn't completely change locket...

I made an account to just say:
I just wanted to say that I bought Ivern thinking I could play him for support. I used your guide, with a few minor tweaks. First game I got S-. They surrendered.

I didn't have the runes you used, so I used: flat MR glyphs, AP seals, and MR marks. I used AP quints. I went Windspeaker's 'cause it was a safe bet.
As far as items, I rushed Face of the Mountain and I went Luci boots. I followed it up with a sightstone and Zeke's.

Having only played Ivern once before, I think I did pretty well. I believe my score was 2/0/17. Dasiy + E = killer. One difficulty I found was getting buffs; I would attempt to use the passive, but no one would follow up with killing it. I think that if I had better communication with my jungler and ADC, I could have maximized the buffs. I thought about going Runic but decided biscuit was a better choice overall.

I would say that this is a solid guide, one that has some wiggle room and possible growth to it.

Ha! Thank's so much! Personally I'm still trying to figure out the best items and runes for him. But if he's played right he is one of the best utility supports in the game. If you are still playing him, I would love know your build and runes.
