Volibear can be one of the best top laners out, even when facing duo top. Your abilities can make you a junglers best friend. Use them right and expect a lot of ganks from your team. These can even be used for personal use. For example, you need that extra movement speed to secure that kill, use your q to catch up, e to slow, and then your w to secure the kill. You will win most fights if you follow that sequence of your abilities. If you ever come to a 1v2 or teamfight situation, ALWAYS pop your ult. The lightning can damage all enemies and jump between them. You can also pull enemies with your q to your tower, and slow them with your e to get extra damage off, since Volibear dosen't do much on his own. Also, Volibear's ult can be used for the clearing of large minion waves, or securing a jungle camp at low levels without smite. I do also recommend watching some youtube to master your abilities.
