I feel like you're missing out on some core aspects on gameplay; as far as I know Aatrox top should max E, as a jungler you shouldn't get 2 offensive items and Spirit of the Ancient Golem is definitely recommended.
Some of your situationals are complete bullocks as well.
Thanks for commenting, I am aware i'm missing the Spirit of the Ancient Golem, I have no idea how I missed it but I noticed it while playing yesterday and haven't gotten around to fixing it. I do need to change the jungling build.

It sounds like you don't know, and/or haven't tried maxing W, it would be nice if you could only factor things in that you actually know about instead of things you have heard.
Which situational items do you think are bullocks, and why?
Even though maxing Blood Thirst / Blood Price is somehow viable, maxing Blades of Torment IS MUCH MUCH BETTER. Why? Think of it, you push faster, you harras your enemy easier and if you have a hard lane, you can farm from a distance. I recommend you always take Zephyr and Youmuu's Ghostblade is a good option. One of the only viable items in your "Situational Items" list is Bloodthirster, the others must get wiped out since in a teamfight, unless you are 10/0 you will play more of a tank role meaning you jump the enemy MVP, die after 10-15 secs and then get into your passive which will buy your team more time to wipe the others out since the ADC/APC focused you the whole teamfight.
Oh and Guardian Angel isn't a core item...
For both of you: the thing is, with Aatrox, there is no reason to push, the only reason he does push is due to his sustain-reliance on his Blood Thirst / Blood Price. If you play correctly, you can get off far more damage with Blood Thirst / Blood Price as Blades of Torment is super easy to dodge unless in close range, now obviously if you are versing a ranged champion who you can get in range of, maxing Blades of Torment is better.
I don't know why but many people on mobafire seem to think you should build Aatrox expecting to die, if you build him to survive - even a little bit, he can get off insane damage with Blood Thirst / Blood Price.
You also commented on my situational items, but didn't explain why you think they are bad. If you watch most pro players play Aatrox they will build similar to the way I have described, some examples:
If I understand you correctly, (here:

Have either of you tried this build, or are you just going off what you think you know about how to build Aatrox
EDIT: Updated the guide to include Spirit of the Ancient Golem
EDIT 2: That's a lie, having trouble publishing.
