Character Lore.

An unyielding avatar of the moon's power, Diana wages a dark crusade against the sun-worshiping Solari. Though she once sought the acceptance of her people, years of futile struggle shaped her into a bitter, resentful warrior. She now presents her foes with a terrible ultimatum: revere the moon's light, or die by her crescent blade.

Though she was born to the Solari, Diana's inquisitive nature set her apart from her brethren. She had always found solace and guidance in the night sky, and questioned the dominance of the sun in her society. The Solari elders responded to her challenges with only derision and punishment. Diana remained convinced, however, that if she could find evidence of the moon's power, the elders would listen to reason. For years, she studied Solari archives in solitude until she discovered an encoded message hidden in an old tome. This clue led her to a secluded valley on Mount Targon where she unearthed the hidden entrance to an ancient, sealed temple. Inside, among aging relics and faded murals, she found an ornate suit of armor and a beautiful crescent blade, both inscribed with sigils of the moon. Diana donned the armaments and returned to the Solari elders that night. She declared that the artifacts proved others had once worshiped the moon as she did. Her discovery of evidence challenging Solari dominion shocked the elders. To Diana's horror, they pronounced her a heretic and condemned her to death. As the elders prepared her for execution, Diana's anger and sorrow overwhelmed her desire for acceptance. She lifted her gaze to the sky, calling upon the moon for strength. Lunar power surged within her and she shattered her bindings. Raising her relic blade, she turned and slaughtered the elders. With the temple in ruins behind her, Diana resolved to destroy all those who would deny the power of the moon.

Mental Force 4/4: Grabbing this adds a little bonus ability power to all of Diana's Abilities.
Sorcery 4/4: Grabbing this reduces the CD of all of Diana's Abilities, allowing you to cast them more often.
Arcane Knowledge 1/1: This will allow your abilities to do more damage to those who decide to counter you by stacking magic resistance.
Havoc 3/3: This Mastery increases your Damage dealt. Definitely ideal for Diana.
Blast 4/4: Yet another Mastery that provides Bonus Ability Power, providing that extra oomph to Diana's Abilities.
Archmage 4/4: Like Blast and Mental Force, this provides additional Ability Power for Diana's skill-set.
Executioner 1/1: This will allow you to do more damage as you get into the execute range of an enemy's health, allowing you to easily secure the kill.


Resistance 1/3: Provides additional magic resistance, increasing your survivability.
Hardiness 3/3: Provides additional armor, increasing your survivability.
Durability 4/4: Provides additional health as you level, also increasing survivability and sustainability.
Veteran's Scars 1/1: Provides additional health as you level, also increasing survivability and sustainability.

Moonsilver Blade is a passive ability that passively grants Diana bonus attack speed. Additionally, every third autoattack will cleave all nearby enemies, dealing bonus magic damage

Moonsilver Blade does not proc spell vamp, lifesteal or Rylai's slow.

Moonsilver Blade pops spell shield.
Moonsilver Blade will damage Black Shield.
All targets hit by the cleave will take the magic damage, including Diana's main target.
Note that the autoattack damage is only applied on Diana's main target
Moonsilver Blade's magic damage will affect turrets, inhibitors, and the nexus, but the inhibitor and nexus will only take the magic damage if you are close enough (Closer than your AA range).
Deals only 50% damage to towers.[1]
Moonsilver Blade's counter will reset after 3.5 seconds of not auto-attacking, there is no counter displaying the amount of auto attacks until the passive proc.[2]
Diana's blade will begin to glow with each hit. It will glow pure white to indicate that the next hit will proc the cleave.
Diana's first strike will always be a right handed, and cut upward.
Diana's second strike will always be left-handed, and cut horizontally.
Diana's third strike (the one that procs the cleave) will always be a right-handed horizontal slash.

Crescent Strike is a pass-through curved skillshot that deals magic damage to all enemy units it hits. Additionally all units hit by Crescent Strike are marked with Moonlight, which reveals them for 3 seconds and enables Diana to use her ultimate, Lunar Rush, with no cooldown.

Crescent Strike procs spell vamp and Rylai's slow similarly with all multi-target spells and abilities with diminished effect.
Crescent Strike will damage Black Shield but Moonlight is still applied.
Crescent Strike pops spell shield. However, if a target is protected by a spell shield, Crescent Strike will fail to mark the target with Moonlight.
Crescent Strike has a brief channel time upon cast before it activates.
Crescent Strike will grant vision of enemy units hit, but it does not reveal stealthed units.

Pale Cascade is a self-active ability that creates three spheres around Diana for up to 4 seconds, providing her with an absorption shield for the duration. If any of these spheres come into contact with an enemy unit, they will explode, dealing magic damage in an area around that unit. Additionally, if all three spheres explode, the absorption shield is refreshed and it will protect Diana for another 4 seconds.

Pale Cascade procs spell vamp and Rylai's slow similarly with all area of effect spells and abilities with diminished effect.
Pale Cascade pops spell shield.
Pale Cascade will damage Black Shield.
Pale Cascade has no casting time and does not interrupt any of Diana's previous orders

Moonfall is a point blank area of effect ability that pulls all enemy units in an area around Diana towards her. After being pulled in, all affected units are slowed for 2 seconds.

Moonfall pops spell shield and the pull and slow will be negated.
Black Shield will negate the pull and the slow.

Lunar Rush is a single targeted dash ability that causes Diana to move to her target's location and deal magic damage. If Lunar Rush is used on a target marked with Moonlight, Lunar Rush has no cooldown.

Lunar Rush does not proc on-hit effects.
Lunar Rush procs spell vamp and Rylai's slow similarly with all single target spells and abilities with full effect.
Lunar Rush will damage Black Shield.
Lunar Rush pops spell shield, but Diana will dash to her target in any case.
Whenever Lunar Rush is used on a target marked with Moonlight, any and all Moonlight debuffs on all units are consumed.
If Diana is next to her target, Lunar Rush will place her behind her target.

Skills usage

Skill Usage

Landing Crescent Strike is important, but don't be afraid to miss. The cooldown is short and the mana cost is low.
Consider when to cast Lunar Rush without Moonlight and when to wait for another Crescent Strike.
Use Moonfall and Lunar Rush to stay on targets and activate Moonsilver Blade for extra damage.
The time it takes for Crescent Strike to reach your target at max range is the same time Lunar Rush takes to reach so if you cast Crescent Strike into Lunar Rush you will get the cooldown refresh immediately.

Malady: Gives even more attack speed and a small boost of power to your skills and pasive

Guinsoo's Rageblade: Amazing item that boosts your attack speed and ability power on each auto attack or skill used.

Nashor's Tooth: Big boost of AP and Attack speed. Helps you kill people even faster :)

Rabadon Deathcap: Item that will kick your AP into overdrive.

Lich Bane: If the game hasn't finished by now get this to boost your damage even more :)
