Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.

<WARNING> THIS GUIDE IS INCOMPLETE AND A WORK-IN-PROGRESS. I AM PLANNING ON MAKING IT AS IN-DEPTH AND DETAILED AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT BEING TOO OVER-WHELMING. I WILL CONTINUE TO UPDATE THIS GUIDE OVER THE COMING DAYS/WEEKS/WHENEVER I HAVE SPARE TIME.
Hello. My name is Seryrn and I am an Ezreholic.
I've been playing Ezreal almost as long as I've been playing League of Legends. Despite my pre-made partners disliking him as a champion and QQing everytime I tried to play him, I stuck it out and have now got into a position where I can make them eat their words; by carrying hard and playing a significant role in our victories. Ezreal was the first champion I ever scored a penta-kill on, and I have scored several with him since. I'm not saying this to brag (penta-kills aren't exactly hard, especially if you're fed), but this along with several other factors as given me the confidence now to make my own Ezreal guide.
So what can you expect from my Ezreal guide? Well one thing I've noticed is that the majority of the Ezreal guides here on Mobafire build Ezreal rather differently than I do. I am not saying that they are wrong. There are different ways to build a viable AD Ezreal. However, this is how I build Ezreal. I have shaped this build by emulating some of what I have seen professional players do in tournaments, as well as my own experiences and preferences.
This guide will focus exclusively on an AD Ezreal designed to be a 5v5 Summoners Rift carry. It has been proven to be the most viable build for him in Summoners Rift. Don't get me wrong, AP is fun and plenty effective sometimes, and Hybrid has strong points too. AD however, fits best into the current meta game.
So, without any further ado;
Pros / Cons (AKA; What makes Ezreal worth playing?)
-Engaging and dynamic play-style.
-Very high damage output when built/played correctly.
-Long range abilities for harassment/poking.
-Great escape mechanics for scoring or surviving ganks and general position purposes.
-Global, skill shot nuke ultimate that can be devastating in the right hands.
-Versatile laner; can duo bot with a support as per current meta game requirements, or solo mid vs. an AP carry just fine.
-Feels very satisfying and rewarding to fully master.
-No short CD AoE abilities to rapidly push a lane.
-Does not scale as well into late game as other ranged AD carries (Does have a better early game to compensate however).
-Lack of CC or true utility.
-Tends to get bummed by assassins with CC or multiple gap closers (**** you Akali).
Not sure if Pro or Con :/
These are basically individual player opinion, I don't count them as either. They can help, or hinder, depends on how well you play.
-Almost entirely skill shot based (some games you will play like a spaz and miss every skill shot. It happens, don't cry over it. Alternatively, your enemies skill level may suggest they are playing with their elbows, in which case you can land them all. Skill shots, by nature, are stronger than direct target abilities, hence the "maybe good, maybe bad" deal).
-Three out of four abilities deal magical damage (this can be annoying if your enemy are stacking MR to counter your AP carries, since even though you're AD, it still gimps the damage of your W, E and R. Just a bit irritating really. On the flip side, if your enemies stack armor, you CAN still hurt them and could even swap over to building hybrid if their armor levels are getting too ludicrous...though this is unlikely to happen unless you and your team are playing all AD, in which case you're probably ****ed anyway).
-Some people think he's gay/looks like a woman (I dunno what ugly-*** chicks these guys have been meeting, but whatever, derpers gonna derp, ignore 'em...or maybe you're female, or swing the other way, in which case you could possibly get off on it *shrug*).
!!THIS R NOT FINISHED YET!!
I am tired and am going to sleep and will continue to work on this guide as and when I get the time. Next up will be runes and masteries!
