Introduction

I had uploaded this build, pretty soon after I tried kayle, only reason why I done a build in the first place, is because i didn't see any AD Kayle, on Mobafire back then, i had searched all over for a build to follow an ad guide, but saw none, so I decided to make my own and it became pretty successful :). I'm Currently in Platinum rank in solo queue. The guide is to display a simple and yet very effective build, implementing that however is based on how much you practise.

When I played her, I had no idea of anything really, all I saw was her magic damage add on from her Righteous Fury so I just started building AD to have that early game advantage and also because of her ult. Also I tried hybrid, I really disliked it, the items were the biggest problem with synergy's not making sense. For example, should I build AP/AD, crit? flat AD? Tri force? Lifesteal? I love the feeling of carrys, AD kayle felt much more stronger due to critical hits, so I played and played and came up with this simple rune set and item sequence to deliver an unstoppable AD Kayle (items bought should not be followed blindly).

AD Kayle dominates almost any lane, in mid lane she is awesome (only go AP in mid), in top lane she is amazing, due to whacking some bruisers butts like Darius and Garen. You can kite well in lane, have good sustainability and have your ult ready to counter things such as executions from Darius or tight situations, or even baiting them into turret diving.

'LORE' & 'Who Is Kayle and What Does She Do'

In a world far away where an ancient war still rages, Kayle was a great heroine - the strongest of an immortal race committed to destroying evil wherever it could be found. For ten thousand years, Kayle fought tirelessly for her people, wielding her flaming sword forged before time itself. She shielded her delicate features beneath her enchanted armor, the sole remaining masterpiece of an extinct race of craftsmen. Though a beautiful, striking creature, Kayle, now as then, avoids showing her face; war has taken a terrible toll upon her spirit. In her quest for victory, she sometimes would try to lift the wicked up from their morass of evil, but more than often she instead purged those she herself deemed beyond redemption. To Kayle, justice can so often be an ugly thing.

Ten years ago, Kayle's war against evil was nearly won... until her rebellious sister Morgana, a pariah amongst their people, suddenly gained powerful new allies: magicians of a hitherto unknown world called Runeterra. Morgana traded servitude to a number of the summoners in Runeterra's League of Legends for powerful new abilities that, if mastered, threatened to bring Kayle and her people to their knees. To save her world, Kayle had no choice but to make a pact with the League herself. She approached the leader of the League, High Counselor Reginald Ashram, with a deal of her own. In exchange for a thousand years of Kayle's service, Ashram halted all League interference on Kayle's world. With Ashram's disappearance five years ago, Kayle has new causes on Valoran: find out who or what caused Ashram to disappear, defeat her sister Morgana upon the Fields of Justice, and bring her own brand of justice to the League of Legends.




Kayle can be categorized as many types of champions, 'healer', 'support', 'fighter' or 'carry'.

Holy Fervor (Innate): Kayle's autoattacks against enemy champions reduces their armor and magic resistance by 3% for 5 seconds. This debuff stacks up to 5 times.

Ability Description Leveling up

Reckoning (Active): Blasts a target, dealing magic damage and slowing its movement speed by 35% for 4 seconds.

Cooldown: 8 seconds
Range: 650
Missile Speed: 1300
Cost: 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 / 90 mana

Magic Damage: 60 / 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 (+1.0 per ability power) (+1.0 per bonus attack damage)



Divine Blessing (Active) Blesses a target allied champion, healing them and increasing their movement speed for 2.5 seconds.

Cooldown: 15 seconds
Range: 1200
[*] Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 mana

Heal: 45 / 85 / 125 / 165 / 205 (+0.35 per ability power)

Movement Speed: 15 / 17 / 19 / 21 / 23%


Righteous Fury (Active): Kayle harnesses her righteous fury to increase her attack range by 400 (to 525) for 10 seconds. These attacks splash, dealing additional magic damage to her target and nearby units take a percent of her attack damage plus magic damage. Splash and magic damage won't proc when attacking a tower directly.

Cost:[/color] 45 mana
Cooldown: 16 seconds
Radius of Splash AoE: 300
Magic Damage: 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 (+0.2 per ability power)

Splash Damage: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% of attack damage


Intervention (Active): Kayle bathes a target ally champion (or herself) in holy light, rendering them immune to all damage for a few seconds.

Range: 1200
Cost: 100 / 75 / 50 mana

Cooldown: 90 / 75 / 60 seconds

Duration: 2 / 2.5 / 3 seconds

Pros/Cons



+ good harassment in top lane/hardly beaten
+ Very good survivability
+ Excellent team player
+ Ult and can save your behind
+ Both melee and range is in your grasp
+ Divine Blessing is good chase mechanism/heal
+ Righteous Fury splashes damage, awesome in team fights
+ Multiple build paths, AP or AD
+ Can lane almost anywhere, top, mid, jungle or even adc at times
+ AWESOME LEGENDARY SKIN :D

- Your the carry, they will be after you
- Once your Righteous Fury is on cooldown, you really cant fight close up in team fights
- Burst champions could be a problem eg: Talon, Veigar late game

Ad Vs Hybrid/AP

Its a matter of taste, in no way is AD bad early game, but AP does have its advantage on AD, till about middle game. Depending on how you build of course, some go the Sheen and full AP, whilst others go Nashor's Tooth.

Overall, AP Kayle has HUGE burst. Her Q got nerfed pretty badly, she lost MAJOR burst, but still has great DPS. As for AD, you Crit on average 600 late game with an attack speed of 1.7 Making the sustained damage high as a carries.

Runes

Greater Mark of Attack Speed: Gives attack speed, awesome for many reasons. For one, early game your attack speed is pretty shocking, and the thing with AD kayle is she needs to harass while her Righteous Fury is on, thus more attack speed equals to more harassment, plus on top of that late game it helps shred armor with your passive.

Greater Seal of Armor: Why flat armor runes? Because your most likely going to lane top lane, due to the amount of champions you can counter, top lane is always about 90 percent AD, you need flat armor for people like Darius, your going to get hit from them sooner or later, so these will help Kayle.

Greater Glyph of Attack Speed: More attack speed, the magic resist isn't necessary really in top lane, your up against mostly bruisers and you start off with high magic resist, if I wore to swap these runes for something else I would pick flat CDR along with CDR in masteries to have Righteous Fury on at all times.

Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage: Pretty simple why, You need to harass with your auto attacks in lane phase, thus more damage the more better right? Some might question why not go with armor penetration, this is because if you go for armor pen, you will have your AD in the 50's, that's equivalent to about an Ap mages in mid lane, its pathetic and you will lose trades horribly. Also the armor pen from Quints is really low, if you really want armor penetration, obtain them from the mark runes.

Masteries

I dont think this needs explaining, it is pretty straight forward, you obtain the attack speed, armor penetration and bonus AD, as well as the 4 percent CDR (cooldown reduction)(if you want to go down that road), so you don't have to wait s long for your E to come back up.

Items

Start off Long Sword, so on your first basing you can get vamp sceptre for the lifesteal and sustain.

rush your berserker greave's, why rush second tier boots? Because its a must against melee bruisers, so you can kite, run faster and so they cannot touch you. A MUST.

After this when you go back to base you should build into two different ways, either buy a Zeal for building a Statikk Shiv or start building towards Blade of the Ruined King. It just depends on you and your match up, hell if you love both buy both, I do.

After this set up, its all up to you, you can prefer to build your own way, to a crit chance build, flat ad, or tanky AD Kayle build. Totally up to you, just I find that these first few items are a must for top lane AD Kayle.

Runaan's Hurricane Is also now a great pick up for Kayle and almost necessary.

Skill Sequence

Kayles 'E' is alot like Sions Enrage, the additional damage especailly at level 1 is a must for early kills, her Reckoning is the second most important because you need to slow down players to finish them off with your 'E'. Put one level in her Reckoning only, for kiting and chasing.

Kayle's Divine Blessing all depends on your lane if your getting harassed some way, or just want to be safe and never be low on health, level your Q and E once and level up your heal or put one point in her Reckoning and max her Divine Blessing after her Righteous Fury.

As for her Ult Intervention it is always the same, 6,11 and 16 in levelling.

Summoner Spells

Ghost or Flash AND Exhaust or Ignite

Flash is pretty simple, use it so you don't die in bad situations, Ghost is more for bruiser type builds, if your going tanky Kayle then I would say go with ghost so you don't get kited to oblivion. . As for Exhaust or Ignite, it depends on the champions, if im vsing Darius i do not pick up exhaust, use Ignite but if its someone like Garen, i usually go for Exhaust to demolish his ult if my ult is not up and its good for ganks as well.

Farming

Kayle has no issues farming nor last hitting, however it is almost impossible not to push the lane with her Righteous Fury on. Take this to your advantage, farm the lane, push it really hard, let the enemy miss creeps underneath the tower and now go roam for a bit, go into enemy jungle for wolf camp, or just ward it, go to your own teams jungle and the two big golems or just gank mid.

Never waste time, farm up, push your lane and roam for objectives or small things that could win you the game.

Farm up continuously the entire game try getting around 250 minions for late game, many people in silver or bronze or even some gold players do not farm enough, they get hungry yet they don't know about 30 farm is equivalent to one kill. I would be like 6-6 whilst the other champ is like 12-3 yet I have more money overall. Farm, just farm every chance you get.

Team Work

Just going to touch up on some points here all basic common sense and requires no skill, but a good reminder!

Now stick in the middle or back of the team, NEVER go in front, the only time you should be infront is if your chasing and its 1v1 OR if the team fight is going to initiate and one of the enemy carrys have slipped up and moved to close in, so you need to land that Reckoning on her/him.

Use your Righteous Fury, cannot stress enough on that. Only when the team fight initiates. Don't light it up and walk across the lane because your going to lose its valuable time. Use it once the off-tank or tank initiates the fight.

Which champs can shut you down.

Okay first of all with thsi build while you might be insanely strong, however you are very squishy and dont have much defensive attributes other than your abilities. The list is champs you should be aware of.

First up is Nasus .His wither makes you useless in team fights, however in lane you should rape him.

Okay second of all is Malphite, you will win your lane however in team fights he can get you obliterated, via his slows and his knock up ultimate.

Well Irelia can't exactly shut you down however early game her bursts can deal 'tons of damage' and really, really ruin your early game. Plus her stun is a pain in the ***, in team fights her job is to annihilate you, just keep that in mind.

Lee Sin if mastered can give you a run for your money in top lane. Want to know the secret of winning him in top lane? Or winning in trades overall. Dodge his Q and you will cut his damage potential by almost half. Sounds simple, yet most forget this.

Darius Yes the champions Kayle is supposed to counter, might actually counter her, You have range, but he has a pull. The scary thing with Darius if that like at lvl 6. He can insta burst you. IF he pulls you in, Lanes a W, Then uses his Q, you have already lost a third of your health, then with ignite and his ultimate, he can literally put out about 400-500 true damage at level 6.

BE careful.

However with a little bit of jungle help Darius could be placed miles behind, you have a strong slow with the aid of ganks darius has 0 ways of escaping other than Flash.
