Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
These are my two Different builds i often use in 3v3 match's depending on who my opponents may be.
I find the AD Build is better if your versing Squishy champions such as Teemo or Ezreal for easy killing and even easier jungling. where as if you where versing alot of High Dpsing Champions like Tryndamere or Nocturn, i would go with the AP build to maximize your survivability with turtle stance and still do some nice damage with Pheonix Stance without needing to build full tank.
The AD Build
the AD build consists of Ganking with Bear Stance and tiger Stance Coming out with a stun and then swapping to tiger stance to lower the Hp of the opponent greatly, as they try to run swap back to bear stance to catch up and stun them and repeat until you or a teammate gets the Kill.
Also tanking dragon when ever you can is essential, but it's no problem because it's possible to solo dragon in 10-> 25 seconds at a level as low as 5, depending on how well your wriggles lantern works. (Note: you can take dragon as soon as you obtain Wriggles lantern and berserker graves)
another good idea is too get the Blue and red buff if you can its not essential but it can make the difference between getting or losing the kill.
The AP Build
The AP Build Consists of Tanking more than one target As well as dealing some nice AOE damage. switching between Turtle Stance And Pheonix Stance will maximize your time you can damage your opponents and also survive incoming damage.
Taking Dragon with this build takes a little longer due to your slower attack speed and less damage output without wriggles lantern.
The Runes And Summoner Spells
The Summoner Spells i chose are there for obvious reasons flash for easy getaways and Clarity and heal for instantaneous healing in case u dont have time to warp back too your base.
the runes i chose for AD are for Early Gaming attack speed and hp, as well as all game dodging ability
the Ap runes are for Magic pen and mana Regen through out the whole game for obvious reasons.
Farming and Teamwork
Udyr can easily Farm both jungle, minions and other champions ;D with his high damage output with either of these builds. IMO i find it easier to jungle with these builds because it give me the element of surprise and often keeps my opponents guessing, keeping them worried about a gank and possibly feeding me.
when playing in a team its often a good idea to be in contact with your team in case they are in desperate need of a gank or want to organize one.
in a nutshell these builds are brilliant in team fights no matter what one you take,
even if its 1v1 you can still come out victorious (or though this is not guaranteed)
if you are new to Udyr i would recommend using the AD build as it is an easier build to use then the AP build. With this being said the AD build is no better than the AP its just the AP build takes quicker fingers and some practice to perfect it.
