i think im gonna try out this build and see if i atcualy works

The problem with this build is that an AP build with Lich Bane accomplishes the same thing - AND improves her abilities.

Never thinked that so much fun to play support chomp :P actualy never played any support champ , but with this guide in first time got a :
Yes, enemys was not so good and 1 death coz ganked 3 vs 1 early :P . In mid game I wasnt focused by enemys coz they thinked to focus fire dps/nuker first and it was lethal for them :P

P.S. Buyed a Bloodthirster coz enemys was with MR itemz ad withoud P.Armor ^_^ was doing solo anyone in theyr team, even solo Malphite, it was theyr tank :D trololo was fun!

Just gave this a try. Very good build! Played 2 games with her and did very well in each of them. I hope for more Sona success! xD

This is an awesome build. I'd seem some mention of AD Sona a few weeks ago and thought it was ludicrous. However, after rooting around some and trying this guide out, it's pretty awesome. Like you said, the enemy team usually always expects Sona to go AP support, and going AD with an otherwise balanced team really throws them off. It's a lot of fun.

I do switch out the Boots of Swiftness for the ones with attack speed, though. But I also take Flash as a personal preference. Just giving some feedback on the build itself, I guess. Otherwise, very solid if it can be worked into team composition.

haha i tried this last game and i out played vayne for mid lane actually killing her a couple times during laning

This is insanely fun. Went 8/4/13 with her. First time as Sona too. Only decided to try her because of this guide. Laned with an AD Soraka (friend of mine). We got first blood and each had a double kill. Most entertaining game of League I have ever played.

I love Sona.... so versatile with this build you can go anywhere, love it, and nobody expects the pummelling they get from her when they get too close, they soon learn to fear her... Best character in game for me.

I usually play AP Sona with nice CDR, because her Hymn of Valor hits awesome dmg if she got AP and her heal is better, but I like your guide just because it's different :D
I've always wanted to try AD Sona, but instead I trolled and played DPS Janna (first game worked out well, second game didn't...). I think AD Sona is just as valid although you will have ridiculously low heal and practically no CDR, but I guess the surprise element is always a good choice :)
