Introduction

Hey enverybody. In this guide I'm going to show you how I play Rammus. Keep in mind I'm not a pro by any means and this is my first guide so any suggestions would be great just be nice about it. This is still a work in progress and isn't close to done so if anyone has suggestions I'd love to hear them.

Pros


-high damage output while still being a good tank
-Great against any ad based champ
-Good ganking

Skill Sequence

So the first thing I'm going to cover is the skills because I feel thats important to understand the skills to use the build to its full potential.

Spiked Shell


This gives rammus attack damage for his armor.

Powerball


This is his least important skill for this build. I only use it to move faster around the map, iniate ganks, to run away, or to chase down enemys.

Defensive Ball Curl


This is the most important spell for this build. The bonus armor and magic resist gives you increased survivability in a fight and it deals damage back to enemys. Its also important to note that the armor bonus from the spell will also give you attack damage from your passive.

Puncturing Taunt


I generally leave this ability be until I need it in a fight. I use it to force a fleeing enemy back into attacking me or to stop an enemy from attacking my teammate.

Tremors


This ability does passive damage to all enemys around rammus including structures. Since it has a low cooldown for anultimate I use it at the start of fevery fight or when I'm pushing an enemy turret.

Items

This is the second most important portion of this build.

Boots of Mobility


This will let you move around the map quicker, or chase down running enemys.

Thornmail


This is key to facing ad champs. It gives armor which will increase armor so also ad. Also it will increase your damage output by returning some of the damage from basic attacks.

Warmog's Armor


Yeah pretty obvious. Its a tank build so it will give you a high amount of health. Thats really it.

Atma's Impaler


This is a key item in my opinion. It gives you armor and its passive will give you ad based off of your total health. So basically this item is still useful on a tank and will also give you ad to increase your damage output.

Frozen Heart


So I'm going to have to explain my reasons for this one. First of all it gives a lot of armor which is benificial to rammus. It gives mana which helps rammus because he has low base mana and is actually very skill dependent in fights. Lastly it gives cooldown reduction which is useful on any champ, and none of rammus' skills get lower cooldown as they progress so it will make up for that and let you get your skills of faster.

Final Item


Ok so the final item in my build I vary depending on the situation. If your doing well build a sunfire cap. If you need some magic resist but not a lot build guardians angel.Lastly if your getting torn apart by the enemy teams casters then build a force of nature.
