The Attack Damage Reds tend to do the trick for you. Your goal is not to be overly aggressive towards your opponent, aside from some harass, as your opponent can beat you down easily.

The Scaling Health Yellows have enough defense for your general squishiness, as they can give you a little extra beef by level 6 and on. Usually when your opponent has their ult up.

Scaling Magic Resist Blues are great for an overall, later on decent magic resistance to spell harass.

Gold Quints are great for getting that accumulated gold. Whether it seems clear or not, the gold adds up.
