Unlike other foxes that roamed the woods of southern Ionia, Ahri had always felt a strange connection to the magical world around her; a connection that was somehow incomplete. Deep inside, she felt the skin she had been born into was an ill fit for her and dreamt of one day becoming human. Her goal seemed forever out of reach, until she happened upon the wake of a human battle. It was a grisly scene, the land obscured by the forms of wounded and dying soldiers. She felt drawn to one: a robed man encircled by a waning field of magic whose life was quickly slipping away. She approached him and something deep inside of her triggered, reaching out to the man in a way she couldn't understand. His life essence poured into her, carried on invisible strands of magic. The sensation was intoxicating and overwhelming. As her reverie faded, she was delighted to discover that she had changed. Her sleek white fur had receded and her body was long and lithe…the shape of the humans who lay scattered about her.
However, though she appeared human, she knew that in truth the transformation was incomplete. A cunning creature, she adapted herself to the customs of human society and used her profound gift of beauty to attract unsuspecting men. She could consume their life essences when they were under the spell of her seductive charms. Feeding on their desires brought her closer to her dream, but as she took more lives, a strange sense of regret began to well within her. She had reservations about actions which never troubled her as a fox. She realized that she could not overcome the pangs of her evolving morality. In search of a solution, Ahri found the Institute of War, home of the most gifted mages on Runeterra. They offered her a chance to attain her humanity without further harm through service in the League of Legends.

PROS
+ Nice sustainability
+ Great damage
+ Good CC with Charm
+ Can escape or chase easily
+ Useful passive (can solo top)
+ good ganker, especially with teleport to gank other lanes when there is a lane fight (after level 6).
CONS
- After a combo of skills, she is left vulnerable due to cooldown, especially in 1vs1
- can easily die early game
- difficult to target ennemies with her skills
- mana issues early game so can't really harrass

You need magic penetration
, ability power
Greater Quint of Potency and cooldown reduction
.
The glyphs and will give you all the cooldown reduction you need.
If you are an harasser early game, then you take Greater Seal of Replenishment Greater Seal of Replenishment instead of Greater Seal of Potency

OFFENSE
Ignite : a must have for Ahri as the cooldown on her skills may block you from getting kills, so it's a great way to counter it especially early game.
Surge : use it when you ult to maximize the damage.
Exhaust : slow the ennemy. Really good to get a kill or escape from an enenmy.
SUVIVABILITY
Flash : can be really useful early game until you get your ult but also mid and end game, in teamfights, when the enemy team is gathered at the same place, you will use your ult around it, but if the teamfights doesnt end well, Flash will be lifesaver. Also an Ahri can defend really well so it's better if you don't die.
Heal : if you consider you don't have enough spell vamp.
Ghost : can be used to chase or escape.
OTHER
Teleport Very useful. If you are mid, then i recommend you take it to always protect your tower. Protecting mid turret is one of the keys to win. Also, it can be a nice solution to the mana issues early game.

The first skill you have to maximize is Orb of Deception
, then Fox-Fire
and finally charm
, as the importance of that skill relies in the charming effect and not so much the damage (It's doesnt hit as many enemies as the 2 other skills).
When a teamfight is about to happen, begin with to clear the minions, then use to grab an ennemy out of his team, then and . If you have in your team champions that do damages to a lot of champions like or , then save your ultimate Spirit Rush to chase a low health champion. If not then use it around the teamfight and target the squishy ones. Never get INTO the teamfight as all your skills are skillshots, you can stay a bit behind.

Early Game
Your goal early game is to get Hextech Revolver as soon as possible. While you are getting it, you can buy Boots of Speed and 2 health and mana potions .
However, if you are laning against heavy harrasser like or , you'b be better off starting with health and mana Catalyst the Protector for sustainability
Alternative Items
Mejai's soulstealer : If you are doing well early game, you can easily stack with
Ahri as she doesnt die that easily.
Abyssal Scepter : If the ennemie team has a lot of heavy AP, get it, it will protect yourself and increase the spell damage of your team by reducing their magic resist.
Lich Bane : It can be a good solution against Ahri's main problem in a 1vs1 as it gives extra damage to your next basic attack. Her problem is that after she uses a combo of skills, she is left with no attacks for a short time, which is really troublesome against AD character.
Deathfire Grasp : This item would be a nice substitute for . If the other team has a really healthy and well armored tank such as Malphite then you should really buy Deathfire
if their team has a lot of attack damage champions like Caitlyn , , Vayne , Xin Zhao , Wukong , go with this item
If you want more Magic Penetration :
-> Void Staff but if you take it, then i recommand you to take Mercury's treads instead of Sorcerer's Shoes .
Ahri's problem is that after she uses a combo of skills, she is left with no attacks for a short time, which is really troublesome against AD character. That's why we need cooldown reduction , to reduce that gap with and lich bane can also help to increase attack damage.
You can see some of my stats with Ahri here
I usually get twice my deaths in kills and many many assists (arounnd 15-25) as my ult targets 3 champions each time in long games.
I hope this guide will be useful and that you will find Ahri a lot of fun to play with :D
