There exists an ancient order originating in the Ionian Isles dedicated to the preservation of balance. Order, chaos, light, darkness - all things must exist in perfect harmony for such is the way of the universe. This order is known as the Kinkou and it employs a triumvirate of shadow warriors to uphold its causes in the world. Akali is one of these shadow warriors, entrusted with the sacred duty of Pruning the Tree - eliminating those who threaten the equilibrium of Valoran.
A prodigious martial artist, Akali began training with her mother as soon as she could make a fist. Her mother's discipline was relentless and unforgiving, but predicated on the fundamental principle: "We do that which must be done." When the Kinkou inducted her into the order at the age of fourteen, she could slice a dangling chain with a chop of her hand. There was no question � she would succeed her mother as the Fist of Shadow. She has had to do much in this role which others might find morally questionable, but to her it is in service of her mother's inviolable doctrine. She now works with her fellows Shen and Kennen to enforce the balance of Valoran. This hallowed pursuit has unsurprisingly led the triumvirate to the Fields of Justice.

Pros
Shes great against squishies
Has a great amount of burst damage
It almost impossible to escape her because, Her ult allows her to lunge at you and her Twilight Shroud slows you

Cons
Has barely any CC
Shes not great in team fights because, She lacks AoE abilities

Recommended
This is a MUST for Akali, it allows her to catch up to her opponent and Use her ult to lunge at them.
Your evasive spell when you get ganked.
This summoner spell gives Akali 10 AP when its in the cool down stage which is helpful Early game but lessens in helpfulness as the game carries on but never the less its helpful.

Not Recommended
Its not a great evasive ability since you are still prone to being CCed
Not a Jungle build.
This helps to prevent ganks but, it doesn't have a great offensive use other then scouting for people in bushes
You don't need this because you will have to build Rylai's at one point of this build and it slows.
Dmg decrease, You should be surprise attacking and using your twilight shroud when your fighting someone for the extra Armor and Mr, so you don't need it.

I like to start out with a Amplifying tome, try not to come back to base until you accumulated 1550 so you can purchase Mejais and Boots of Speed.

Then just farm until you can afford Mercury Threads and a Blasting Wand.

Start finishing up your Rylai's so you can begin building a Zhonya which will give you a nice Armor bonus which should help.

Now you should have accumulated a few kills by now and have a few Mejai stacks.

If you have gone far enough to build your Rabadon and Lich Bane.

Tip

Do not get careless, it will result in a death and a lose of valuable Mejais stacks

Never initiate a battle, Your not a TANK!!

Try to target the squishes in the back like the casters such as...
