Not Updated For Current Season

Akali, Destroyer of Worlds
This guide is showing the true strength of using Akali's AP burst damage followed up by an equally strong physical attack. Which will also allow you to stay in a fight slightly longer than others might desire you to be able to, or used to. Considering most Akali players favor a very very heavy AP build which is all burst damage and really once your marks are all used up leaves you very little damage for the rest of a big team fight or 2v1, 2v2 etc.
Item Build Order
Start with a Long Sword and a Health Potion, because you have the ability from your runes to have both your abilities up this way.
Then you're going to get your Ninja Tabi on the first trip back (or if the other team has very little dps and alot more casters and disables a switch to Mercury Treads works better)
After that you kind of pick up things as pieces, start to get Rageblade next, then a Hextech Revolver, Vampiric Scepter(for Blade), then the Ruby Crystal you need to make the Sword from the start into a Phage.
From there you'll finish your items as follows, Hextech Gunblade, Frozen Mallet, (dps heavy) Phantom Dancer, (squishier team with more disable) Lich bane. The last two are interchangable according to the situation.
Pros To The Build
-Able to sustain longer fights
-Doesn't lose any burst ability
-Much heavier physical damage for those who try to block out your burst
-Able to fight 2 or more foes at once done properly, even after marks are used up on your first enemy
-Very strong early game
-Much larger boost for your Crescent Slash taking 60% of physical damage and only 30% AP
-Still have equal health to a build including a Scepter or other health boosting items
-Incredible amount of lifesteal (mostly spell vamp), but combined with life steal = almost 60% total
Cons To The Build
-Item dependant against heavy AS enemies such as Yi or WW early/mid game
-Late game if targeted first you go down quick (easily preventable)
-Stuns and other disables truly screw you over (Sash is insertable into the build mid game)
-Jealousy of other players for your sweet ninja killing machine chick almost as cool as the girl with the gun leg from grindhouse...?
*Note...After new patch it's now 20 abil power for your twin discipline to trigger so I changed runes.
P.S. I think the best i've went with this build was something like 26-2-12
