Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
So I've been playing Akali for awhile now and I have never come up against one that makes a build similar and to my knowledge I havent seen one like this on here, but anyways my build is just another variation on playing Akali.
So I go with the standard Magic Pen marks to increase damage from your abilities.
I go with cooldown reduction seals because well cooldown never hurt anyone and the more often you can use your abilities, the better.
I go with Ability power glyphs because again it increases damage.
My quints...2 ability power and one cooldown for same reasons as the others.
This is where my build differs from most.
I often get criticized for getting madred's razors...so why do I get them?
Well first its damage. Second armor increases survivability. thirdly the passive is great for farming. and lastly when you upgrade to the lantern you get a free ward which comes in handy.
I get Sorcerors Boots for obvious reasons.
The most important item in the build comes next. Rylai's is incredible for akali.
Health, check. Ability Power, check. and most importantly the slow...anytime you use an ability it slows your enemies making it even more difficult for your opponents to escape from you and your team.
Next comes Guinsoo's which is a very helpful item for Akali to increase damage.
The second most important piece, in my opinion, to the build is Lich Bane...This will drop your enemies like flies, especially the squishies who were already easy to kill.
After Lich Bane go for Hextech Gunblade. Getting this should make you friggen difficult as hell to kill unless stunned. All that spell vamp and lifesteal...You are a killing machine...
If the game goes long enough I replace my Lantern with a second Hextech Gunblade...thats always good fun
The other peculiar thing about my build is that I max out Twilight Shroud before Crescent Slash...why? Shroud is incredible. It can be used to annoy your enemies by throwing a mark of the assassin and hiding immediately. Hide from champions and in 1v1 fights a huge advantage. So why max it out? because the energy cost goes down drastically. When you drop shroud at the early levels you use a majority of your energy preventing you from doing much immediately. When you max it out quicker you can do more things after you throw it down making it easier to kill and avoid being killed.
I like to go with exhaust because it can be many things. Aid your first kill. Aid killing in general. Aid you getting away. Giving you that extra few seconds for ability cooldowns to get that last shot in. Exhaust in my opinion is the best summoner spell available.
I also go with Flash. A lot of ppl go with ignite. I dont have anything against ignite, I just prefer Flash. Why? If youre caught by a few enemies, throwing down shroud and flashing into a bush or the other side of the lane can save you. It can also be used to flash closer to an enemy so you can Shadow Dance to them and slow/kill them.
I'm no pro by any means...just thought I'd share my build with the community to try and help others or get bashed by others, either way I'm ok.
