Try to get the mid lane or a solo lane atleast. First buy the long sword for the spell vamp bonus of your passive. this will make it more easy to solo lane. After buy boots so you can be chasing and running away. try to rush sword of the occult and mejaj's soulstealer. so if you make kills it will feed you at the start which will make it easy to gank later. After this finish the boots you got. Scroll down for info 'bout the boots. Rylai is for the hp and AP. then you will be hard to kill. hextech is just for 1v1 for heavy self heal. Rabbadon deathcap will make you get lots of AP which makes it easy to gank And at the end just improve hextech revolver :).
But start game you will be hard to make kills till you reach lvl 6 and can chase and flee with your ulti. so be careful start game

These runes will make it easy to gank the seals are here to give you a bit more HP and the rest is just go give you lots of AP.

If its early game,
Just harrase a bit with Mark of the ***issin.
And sometimes put down a twilight shroud.
If he stands in range of the Mark, Just throw it on him, When you are even able to hit him it will be a nice harrasement.
When he's like 300 hp (This time you will be lvl 4-5) You throw a mark to him, Then you flash to him you hit him which deals insane dmg after you put down a Cresenct slash on his ***. This should kill him.
If this burst doesn't kill him just put an ignite on him

Oke this part gets pretty hard to do.
When you see someone just easily **** him up with your insane burst.
Then when more come put down a twilight shroud. You will regen abit in the shroud when they Go separate a bit, go get 1 by insane nuke the other 1 will be easy cuz of your spell vamp. that's all.
But if you do a little thing wrong and your to late. Your ****ed

Team fights.
This is really easy for akali if you got a little good setup.
It will be nice if you have a tank like rammus since he will just go in first and after you backstab them 1 by 1.

If you don't have a tank. Aim for a target who can do a lot of dmg. If he's down go get another squeesy target which makes it easy for your to win teamfights if your team playes well

Since your mid laning it will be a high chance you will be versus a range target.
Just wait till the creeps are at the tower and kill them 1 by 1. then when you got twilight shroud just put it down some times and get your *** in it and just go last hit the minions and crescent slash sometimes will make it easy to do things like farming harasements :)

Pros.
High damage out put makes it easy to 1v1
Twilight shroud is very good for escaping
Shadow dance is good for chasing AND escaping (use it on mininons close to you when escaping)
Great spell vamp.

Cons
Early game hard to play.
Squeesy mid game if not having a good farm.
Hard to farm.
Need to wait till lvl 6 before going to real ganking

Many ppl will ask which boots do i have to buy when they play akali.
Its a case where you have to look to the opposing team.
If they got many CC you don't want to be CC locked.
So if they got like 2-3 CC go buy mercury treads
If they got many guys which have a great escape mechanism get boots of swiftness.
When its just a normal team, not many CC not many with great escape mechanism, Go sorcerous's boots

If the game isn't going well you shouldn't buy Mejaj's soulstealer and Sword of the occult since they won't stack. When you can't stack them go get sheen/Lich bane.
After you get Void staff which will make them get more dmg.
