Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
My first build, A very Basic build
---This build relies heavily on the Stacks from Mejai's and Occult---
--Laneing & Ganking--
early game i usally tend to try to lane with someone who can stun/slow
anyone with a stun or slow will do
But the CC effect will be very nice to get the full effect from mark of the assassin(which is good for harassment and getting first blood and early kills) early kills are crucial to getting the mejais ASAP and getting stacks with it
DO NOT lane against tanks, they can take to much dmg and make getting stacks and feeding early game extremely hard
Around level 6-9 is when i start ganking, mostly looking for low hp champs and squishies(the enemy turret falling in your lane is a good indicator to start ganking)
mid game i generally just stick with ganking and making pushes in unoccupied lanes like most ganker heroes do shadow dance makes akali a great tower diver, allowing her to get past the tower with no hesitation and minimal damage.
try to stick around 1 or two teammates most of the time, you never want to get caught in a 5v1 and loose a lot of the stacks you've tried so hard to get, also tend to join fights a few seconds late so they don't start the fight focusing you, akali is a high dmg champ and is generally one of the first targets to kill
start out with amp tome so you can lead into mejai's as soon as you get 800 gold, getting that early and getting as many stacks as fast as you can is crucial to this build
next i tend to go for boots, i prefer mercury treads so stuns and cc effects wont get you killed, while you can just shroud of the twilight away its never good to be stunned for 5 seconds straight
Occult isn't necessary but is very nice getting the stacking spell vamp and extra damage from your passive is always nice, if you wanted you could replace it with guinsoos rage blade
Next is giants belt leading into rylai's akali is a very squishy champ, but i prefer to get the dmg before rylais if your taking a lot of punishment it is a wise idea to get rylais after boots and get guinsoo's over occult
hexttech is one of the best items for akali the use effect is a very nice dmg burst and the spell vamp is extremely helpful, i tend to get it late due to the spell vamp from occult with your passive is pretty good and gives you decent survivability early game
and last is zhonya's the use effect is great for waiting for something like a twilight shroud cooldown or just getting the focus of dmg off you(or blocking things like requiem)and with 20 stacks of mejai's and zhonyas AP you should be around 110% for your passive
i hope this guide helps some people, its my basic build for akali and it tends to get me pretty good records, i hope it does for you too!
